Bahay Pastulan Store by Good Shepherd Sisters reviews
25 Food is okay, pangmeryenda ang peg. We had fresh lumpia, arrozcaldo with egg, and turn with ube & langka. They only have standing tables for those who will dine in. Pero they have one area na pwede umupo.
Sa baba yung bilihan ng mga for take out foodies and you have to walk paakyat para dun sa mga meryenda offerings nila
They close at 5 not 6. There is a shop across the street that sells their products after 5 pm.
I always drop by this place to buy ube jam. I believe they are from the same set of nuns as Good Shepherd in Baguio so they share recipes at the very least! There are other items for sale like macapuno, ube balls, buko pie and fresh veggies.
My only advise here is to be careful going in and out of the place because it's in a blind corner and vehicles coming from Sta. Rosa and heading to Tagaytay are usually speeding as they ascend this sharp curve.
Went here to buy buko pie and ube desserts. It's worth the money. Tho you should bring cash because they can't accommodate online and gcash transactions.
The Good Shepherd ube jam are not the ones in jar. The ones sold here are in a plastic container and only last 7 days.
Went to buy their ube, very good! They open 9am on a Monday. Take out counter is downstairs, plenty of parking
Highly recommended!
Unfortunately the place is closed on weekends. There are pasalubong for sale at the parking lot from workers. The goodies are affordable and fresh. I love their Ube Halaya and the chicos we're cheap.
The Ube Jam here is still the best, we always visit here every time we went to Tagaytay and even in Baguio.
We came here specifically to buy pasalubong.
Their take home outlet is by the parking lot which is a good strategy since some come by just to buy pasalubong and not eat at the restaurant.
I ordered "ube jam" which has the same recipe as the famous "Good Shepherd" version in Baguio. And then I bought other stuff like crispy pusit and Suman. The Suman is really good. It has a unique taste and the aroma is just so inviting.
The experience of buying here instead of at their convent would've been perfect were it not for the "cross" cashier. Ate cashier could be and should be friendlier and more patient with buyers.
Loved their fresh guyabano juice, all time fave ube yam and maka nata.
Though takes time to wait to serve but worth it.
Just dropped by for pasalubong.ube jams were in a plastic tub instead of glass jars.they have other stuff like ube macapuno snack, sugar brittles cashew, nuts, and spreads.they also sell other non good sheperd food.sad that they don't have Strawberry jam
We never forget to passby the place whenever we're in Tagaytay. Their buko pie and ube jam is delicious.
Cool place where you can eat very affordable yet good lugaw and goto and buy ultra yummy ube jam that is a lot cheaper than its counterpart in Baguio branch.
Clean and tasty, that's what their food are. I'm always confident of the quality of their food. Tastes fresh and clean, consistently!
This is the tagaytay branch of the popular convent good Shepherd from Baguio. As the Baguio branch, they sell a variety of sweets, pastries, jams and cookies. In the tagaytay branch, they also sell coconut products, savoury pastries like empanadas and more. There's plenty of parking and the toilets are clean
Bahay Pastulan Store is run by the Good Shepherd Sisters as an outreach to help the poor and the marginalized thru employment. They are trained to enhance their cooking and baking skills. Bahay Pastulan Offers a lot of sweets and other "pasalubong" (gifts) delicacies. Accessible and affordable. By buying our products, You help women and their families. You also help their High School and College scholars.
Bahay Pastulan Store (Good Shepherd) is located at Sta. Rosa Rd, Brgy. Francisco, Tagaytay City.
We went there last weekend and found that you no longer need to climb up the stairs to the store. It's now in the parking lot and I guess it will stay there while the pandemic's still here. We were there in the afternoon and only a handful of people were around. Lengua de gato, ube jam, alfajor, and gourmet tuyo still taste amazing.
We bought a lot of stuff.like ube Jam before going home to QC.they don't honor here Senior discount.
Haven’t visited this store in a long while, partly because of travel restrictions due to the pandemic and partly because of the traffic going to Tagaytay. So it’s only now that I saw that they have a smaller stall by the parking space. No need to hike up the steps to the main store. The smaller stall is really convenient.
One suggestion though - they might want to rethink their parking space. While we were there, there was a very minor accident where a van that was backing out of its parking slot accidentally bumped into a parked SUV on the opposite row of spaces. For customers, let’s all be extra careful when backing out of the spaces as it’s quite tight.
