Balay Dako

Our go-to place whenever we crave a soup-based dish in Tagaytay. My personal favourite is their kansi. Service is always top-notch. Food is a bit expensive but worth every penny due to its superb quality and huge servings. It's best to dine here with family or large groups. They also have a pastry, dessert, and pasalubong section. I was amazed when I saw the batwan powder.

Went here for a birthday celebration. We are a frequent customer here. The food is a bit pricey compared to other restaurants along the area which serve Filipino food. Although the Serving amount of food is also adequate if you can in as a group.ambiance is really good, classy and sleek. Waiting time is very short. And the staff were very accommodating. We were seated at the lower ground. Place is very kid-friendly.

Amazing restaurant with an amazing view. All the food we’ve tasted there has been amazing. It’s all Filipino dish and really delicious. Beside the food and drinks you can enjoy an amazing view on the taal volcano. The prices are a bit higher here, but it’s worth it. I can recommend this place.

Honestly, I’ve had better. Food was average and at 1200+ you’d expect a whole lot more. 1,900 in Sofitel breakfast would have had triple thr choices for better quality and you dont have to wake up at 5: 00 so you can make it for the 7: 00 am service.

Most of their food is alright. The standouts would be their Pata Tim and Kare-kare. Their Leche Flan is really good too.

Amazing food and place. I can see why many people would visit. The cost is very well-worth of the price because the servings and taste is good. Be prepared for the queue though. We tried their Kansi and Vegetable Kare-Kare and they were both delicious

Food is nothing spectacular. As my son said, food was better at Manam, why did we go all the way here, waited more than 2 hours and paid twice as much. Will definitely not be coming back.

My #1 Bulalo place! I have eaten at 3 different places during my stay in Tagaytay and this one is just the best imo! The restaurant gives you a very authentic vibe since its so open, very nature like, and the view of the Taal is just amazing! Bulalo is so delicious!

No more buffet. Just expensive food for group, no single and order so long my americano coffee got cold no reheating.

Balay Dako is one of my favorite restos I. Tagaytay. Aside from you'll get a glimpse of Taal volcano while enjoying their sumptuous meal and the cool weather, the ambience and the vibe is homey. I like that this place transports you to the times of our great great grandparents.

The food is also good and very tasty. The only time that they let me down was my last visit when they served a really cold and seems like freshly out of the fridge lumpiang sariwa.

One of the best alfonso resto in tagaytay. This resto pre dominantly serves local filipino cuisine. Selections are great except when you are vegan or on a low cholesterol diet. Which we are not on hence the 5 star rating LOL

The servings are big and filling. Their staff is efficient and the view is picturesque. However, the food quality is just a bit too plain. As long as you don't set high expectations, your experience should be ok. The food quality is very far from Antonio's or even Breakfast by Antonio's.

So many people as usual. It was chaotic from main road to parking area. We only went to buy at their shop. Yummy piaya!

Probably one of the best places to dine-in in Tagaytay! They serve good food and the ambiance is great! The view of the Taal from the inside of the restaurant is magical! The illusion is so breathtaking!
