The best local cake shop here in Los Baños. Their service is very fast. I recommend their best-selling chocolate cakes. Their cakes have just the right amount of sweetness.

Personally my favorite chcolate cake second to bites of sugar. Only downside here is that you either go to the spot in laguna or their branches within said province or you have to know someone from that side of the region willing to buy and meetup with you somewhere preferably near your place. Since it's quite a bit of travel for me this one is a rarity.

Really the cake that I grew up with. Every time I went home to Laguna I would always want to buy Mernels. Eating the cake really feels like home.

Mernel's Bakeshop has officially become one of our top-of-the-list stopovers whenever we would visit Los Baños for other notable things like Milka Krem's Chocolate Milk at UPLB. The cake is perfectly sweet, good with black coffee in my opinion, and the icing is the best so share those cake corners! I also noticed the cake is best when it's super cold, and the icing just gets better even when days go by.
