Sulyap Gallery Café, Boutique Hotels and Restaurant reviews
48My halo halo was super delish, but that wasn’t the best part of my visit. The best part was the great service and being looked after and the absolutely fabulous and traditional interior and exterior of the cafe and restaurant. It’s got such a warm charm and feel to it. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone who is in the area to drop in and have a peek.
The place takes you back in time. The restaurant is in a historical house decorated with old and historical items. They serve authentic filipino cuisine. The place gives you a lot of nostalgia as you dine inside and enjoy the dishes that reminds you of you lolo's or lola's cooking. Their lengua and crispy pata is definitely a must try! They also have a museum filled with antique furnitures and historical items.
Very scenic, good traditional Filipino cuisine. Closes quite early, though. Don't go beyond 7 pm, as last order happens around this time.
The best kulawon in San Pablo. They serve very good food. It's nice to stay in their heritage rooms and structures.
Ambiance is nice there’s a lot of instagrammable spots but the food is so-so and I find it overpriced for its serving. The crispy pata served was overcooked and 1 cup of rice cost p80. The kare-kare didn’t have that peanut-y taste as well. I didn’t enjoy any of the food served. Overall, we enjoyed the ambiance, waiters are attentive and its nice that they also have a museum. The kuya really did a good job walking us through historical culture and provided us with information and insights about the exhibits and artifacts on display.
Sulyap is a Filipino experience for all the senses—scrumptious food in an antique house amidst a lush garden. Sulyap serves the most special Filipino dishes—pinais na kabute, kulawong puso ng saging, pinayti, and many more. They also serve the usual Filipino favorites but done excellently—the crispy pata and leche flan are not to be missed. There’s also an assortment of pansit—who knew pansit could taste so, so good? Service is exceptional. It is rather far from Metro Manila so make the most out of it by checking in at Sulyap’s bed and breakfast. We will be coming back again and again.

Nice place/ambiance, good food with lots of foods to choose from, staffs are very friendly and affordable prices, theres also a small exhibit for old items.
Love the ambiance here. Highly recommended. Main course is around 600 php good for 2-3 persons. They accept any major credit card, cash or bank transfer as mode of payment. The Bean Tower Coffee however which they also offer on a separate menu only accepts cash. Seniors and minors are not allowed as of this writing due to health protocols in relation to covid-19.
Had a wonderful and unique experience here at Sulyap! Our stay felt like going back in time. All the buildings were maintained/restored houses from the Spanish period. The whole area is very spacious and filled with trees and gardens. Ideal for a weekend getaway to escape Manila!
The last time i ate at Sulyap was years ago (2006 if i remember correctly), it was just 1 small building plus the Big Warehouse in front.
Food was delicious, though a bit on the expensive side. The Ambience compensated for the prices. Service was good and overall it was a delicious lunch.
Best laid back dining experience just few hours drive from Manila. Come and visit this together with your Luzon Tour with Travbest. #travbest #sulyaplaguna
Good food but a bit pricey.love the ambiance.takes you back to Spanish Era. Nice to have a look at antique collections in their museum.
We stayed at Casa Alitagtag family room ground floor. Highly recommended for families good for 6. Clean room, beds, big toilet and bath, good aircon, wifi, and cable tv. It comes with ala carte breakfast (try the lucban longanisa with native hot chocolate). Mark this one for your San Pablo trips.
Stayed at Casa Alitagtag ground floor
The place is nice!
The room is great. Air-conditioning is perfect.
Bathroom is spacious with great ambience buy the only off mark for me is the hot shower.
Don't get me wrong, hot shower works but needs fixing.
Had lunch here on our road trip to San Pablo. If you love old houses and Filipino cuisine, then this is the place. Food was good. We arrived around 11am and it was practically full.
Very beautiful place. We loved the ambiance and the cuisine. Good for family and couples looking for a romantic dinner. It's a shame the restaurant closes a little early at 8pm. We didn't get to see the museum as it closes early and we chose to dine first.
This is a very special property owned by a music lover. Strolling the grounds was very nice. Clean rooms. Great for special events.
The food was great and affordable, good for big groups, the place was superb, they maintain the heritage vibe of the place seems like you are actually in intramuros, the staff was pretty fast and thre order came quickly. If you want a good amount of serving this is the place to be. Good value for money.
The place is reminiscent of the old times. I love the rustic feel, the food is great however the serving is small and it is on the pricey side. They have extended the place but it gets crowded and reservation is always a good idea. The museum is an added attraction and their bed and breakfast as well as their function hall for a small intimate gathering.
It's crowded today but I like the addition of their coffee kiosk.
