Agimat at Ugat Foraging Bar and Kitchen reviews
43This is a must visit place. Great food and service. Lots of love and attention to detail going into everything. Well done team.
Singer's volume was way way to loud, we couldn't talk. For such a small place it was completely unnecessary.
We had to leave.
If the volume was a bit lower we'd stay until they close.
Really enjoyed their drinks, excellent service from their staff, but their 2 Roxas Tacos dish can be improved.
It was my third time at Agimat at Ugat and we arrived past 10pm on a Saturday so the place was packed already but they had 2 spaces at the ground floor bar for me and my friend so we could just walk in. They had a live music act which got the crowd roading and signing along.
Their staff were very attentive and gave excellent service. I thought that it was about time that I tried out the Poot ni Bathala experience and it was great! You can only have the ritual done on the 2nd floor so we were asked to temporarily relocate there. Super fun ritual and it was nice to steal the spotlight from the 2nd floor for a minute. The drink itself was really nice and sweet and it's nice talking about the meanings behind the drinks with foreigner friends.
The only thing I would like them to improve was the dish I ordered which was the 2 Roxas Tacos which were just bad. Wouldn't recommend ordering them and the price was difficult to justify.
Nonetheless I recommend this place for wonderful drinks and do recommend booking in advance if you're a big group.
I think the place is so interesting and immersive. I like that they introduce you with the drinks. It's a great place to chill and drink. Would love to come back here.
Lovely surprise! Creative cuisine, very efficient service, musical atmosphere and incredible cocktails.
Great interior! This was recommended by a friend. Nice variety of drinks but the room can be a bit packed on weekends. Music is a bit loud but expected.
Our fave bar in Poblacion. They serve really great drinks and food! They craft their own liquors. Must try is their Ube Cream Liqueur!
A bar with unique concept. You can enjoy a more private space in the first floor with an acoustic entertainment. If you want to feel the bar and party vibes you can go to the second floor. It serves alcohol and non alcohol drinks. You can also order some local foods here.
I went by myself in January, on a short stop in Manila, after being told that this is a new spot and has good cocktails. I like the creativity, but everything was too sweet for my taste. Service wasn't too bad until I asked if I can use the WiFi, as my data stopped (had a new simcard). The staff wasn't very helpful at all, wasn't expecting this in the Philippines. Anyhow, that's how I justify my rating. Something to improve on, hospitality.
We ate A LOT here and the food’s consistently good. Quite liked the balut they do it in a special way here. The fish tacos are pretty great too. Only negative for me is the music is super loud for some reason. Other than that, everything’s great. Fully recommend this place
Went there on a monday and surprisingly found it alive. It was an acoustic night, which my friends and I enjoyed. All staff members & bartenders were so friendly & gave us a lot of free shots. They have a variety of cocktails that i found very unique, a must try! The interior is also amazing. Will definitely bring more friends over.
As a swede I did not like the food. I think it's more aimed at locals. All drinks are amazing.
Lively place. Cocktails were really good (I had the sirena drink) and I also enjoyed the food. Filipino theme so a hit with foreigners. Bartenders would occasionally put on a ritual performance while making drinks, complete with flames and gongs. Really enjoyed the experience.
Buckle up for an amazing experience
Ordered a drink named Ritual and the whole crew literally started a ritual to prepare drink.
Every drink tastes, looks and even named in an unique way. Even though rate is at a pricier side it’s definitely worth the quality of experience, try to get a seat closer to bar counter
This place does a great job in marrying a cocktail bar with traditional Filipino mystical culture & local ingredients.
The ambience is unique, as they would stop the music and aircon to perform a ritual chant whenever someone ordered the ritwal drink.
I had the anting anting ni malvar and really liked it.
Agimat is one of my favorite bars in Manila! It had a very unique vibe, and the cocktails are fantastic. I was shocked to discover that their beef salpicao is one of the best Filipino dishes I've ever had - I expected it to be bar quality food, but it was the best salpicao I've ever had and I quickly ordered two more portions!
Tops it to my list of cocktail bars in PH!
They use small batch crafted spirits from traditional Filipino ingredients.
Signature cocktails are spot on in terms of taste, presentation and local inspiration.
Food is also great! Tried the Pata and Krema Smoked Bangus and it was
Ended up getting a bottle of the award winning Ube Cream Liquer
Must come back!
Awesome bar. Get the drink with the show. They explain everything that you are being served. Food is good. Drinks are good. Staff is friendly. Definitely would go here again.
Love the place very clean, acoustics are great
Staffs are very accommodating
Best flavoured vodka.
Well curated specialty cocktails. It's inspired by Filipino terms such as herbs and essences. The place and ambiance screams pobla bars. If you both want to have a chill and gleeful time with your friends then check this place out.
Also visited during the Halloween period. Lots and lots of customers line up. Good thing their baristas are up for the challenge. Kudos
