Alamat Filipino Pub & Deli reviews
61 We recently visited Alamat, a Filipino bistro located in Poblacion. The restaurant focuses on showcasing Filipino pride through its tribal and ancestral cuisine, as well as craft drinks. We chose to wait on the balcony while waiting for a friend, and although the ambience and music were enjoyable, it was uncomfortably hot in that area, possibly due to its proximity to the road.
Once inside, the unique decor, featuring star-shaped lights made of Capiz shells, intricate cement walls, and folklore murals, transported us to a different world, reminiscent of a grandmother's ancestral house it truly provided a break from the bustling city.
As for the food, I highly recommend trying the Poblechon sisig, which includes their own lechon belly, pork ears, 63-degree eggs, red onions, and green chili. Another standout was the bagnet platter, consisting of bagnet chips, thick-cut bagnet, sukang alamat, served with coconut-crab fat sauce and lechon sauce. Both dishes were flavorful and satisfying.
Moreover, Alamat is renowned for its selection of locally sourced craft beers from various regions in the Philippines. So I decided to try their “De Futa Madre” craft beer, which had a strong coffee liqueur aftertaste. This bold and intense malt beer, with an alcohol content of up to 8%, might be overwhelming for those new to craft beers- like me. I recommend pairing it with dishes that have intense flavors. If you're not looking to spend too much on craft beers in one night, you can opt to try them individually.
Overall, the food at Alamat Pub was sinfully delicious, offering a taste of the forbidden. Cheers to Alamat for championing Filipino cuisine and providing a unique dining experience
Food and ambience was great. Upscaled Filipino dishes might be a hit or miss for some.
Ordered the dynamite and sisig. The sisig was great, but I found that the dynamite too meaty.
The drinks were phenomenal, there's something for everyone. I ordered the dalan damn - sweet, citrusy, and tasted less like a beer and more like a cocktail. Which I honestly loved.
Overall a great experience, the music was loud enough for people to talk with each other, so it was definitely a good bar to just chill in.
Awesome to be in during weekends. Staffs' extremely nice and accommodating. Food's taste great. Price just about right. Will make sure to come back with family and friends
Great foods and drinks they are offering! Good setting where you can take your friends and family to bond with.
Food was great, atmosphere and service all good, with a nice terrace!
Beers were disappointing though…
Amazing, very vibe-y place. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food and drinks were excellent and fairly priced (drunken halo halo is a must try!). Great place to hangout with friends and family!
Want to unwind after a days work? This is the place to be. People are friendly and staff are very welcoming.
Craft beer at its finest! Very professional and friendly bartender and service staff. Went there twice and will surely go back again soon!
The Filipino food here, even though it is supposed to be high class stuff, still just doesn't do it for me. Quite bland with little flavor.
It’s very pricy!
The food and the drink I had were good… buuut…the food was already a littlebit cold and not like a huge portion!
0,5 beer costs about 500 pesos!
For the beef with rice I paid about 630 pesos.
Love the beer & the huge range they serve! The Indio Pale Ale is honestly one of my favorites. Cute ambience too, but docking a star because the music gets ridiculously loud making it really hard to have a proper drink.
Keri ang price ng drinks and mababa ang table charge compared dun sa mga bars na 5k ang table.
Overpriced food and drinks. 620 pesos for a chicken skin that serves a small bowl lol. The interior isn't even that good. Outdated.
Great place to chill and drink. But if you really wanted to dance and party, please choose other bar. They have a dance floor to get wild and party but it is small. Not recommend for group more than 10 people.
This place is absolutely to-die-for! The Filipino food selection is amazing, the drinks are great, and the atmosphere reminds me of 60s disco bars. The "Alamat shot" was a hit for me and my US friends. We had fun attending their "Sayawan night" where there was a DJ playing and a disco ball right in the middle of the area. It was a magical night.
I like the vibe here. Place is not too loud perfect if you’re planning a catch up night with friends. I love their drinks too good, uughhh worth the spent. But the food is okay. I think they should improve their food to compensate with the price because it’s so pricey and taste bland hehehe
still food presentation is instagramable. You should try for you to know. Hehe
We really enjoyed Alamat. The food was excellent and each dish provided a unique twist to Filipino cuisine. The craft beers are great. 'Take Me to Your Leader' at 9.8% ABV may be the best beer name ever (we had the Session Ale).
Staff were all nice! Its good to eat here for dinner with friends or on a date:) I rarely eat Filipino food but this restaurant serve the best dishes. The size are way big and good for sharing. They have good cocktails as well. My favorites are turon Daiquiri, and sampaloc whiskey sour! Their music is the best after eating. Theres a dance floor and dj:)
Had a company cocktail event here and it was awesome. Exactly how we wanted it to go: for our managers and foreign guests to experience a pinoy version of a pub! Food was great, lots of good drink options, flexible and accommodating service. Music and vibe was spot on.
Food is good and top notch
A filipino modern twist. No Local drinks. But flavored beer is great. Not a place to get drunk.
