Blackbird Makati reviews
60Too hyped. Food is so-so. Don't get the mushrooom pizza and marinara pasta. It's too bland. Steak is outback levels only. If you want to go for steak, better go to other steak houses. Wagyu is not even that fatty. If you don't have a driver, don't go here. No parking even if the place is not fully booked. You'll be redirected to Peninsula Makati since the parling beside is always full. There is not even a valet parking. Not recommended to go on a workday at lunch time.
Deliciously prepared food. Good option to choose from. Service can definitely improve though not bad.
The food here is delicious and the waiters are very nice, but sometimes they are too busy and they may not always find you when you need assistance.
The atmosphere is also very good, suitable for couples to go together.
100/10! I just want to appreciate this place for having good ambiance, SUPER GREAT FOOD and topnotch service. We had our 2nd anniversary here and the experience was superb. We will definitely come back here. What a beautiful historic place indeed here at Makati.
5 star experience in Phills! By far the best restaurant we 've been while we stayed in Manila. Perfect dinner experience!
We visited this place for dinner. I must admit the service was amazing, and the food was delicious. We were seated on the terrace. The only confusion was seeing plastic chairs as part of the style for what is considered a high-level restaurant.
Oasis in the middle of the central business district. One of our favorite destinations when we visit Makati.
The tiniest scotch egg Ive ever had!
Could hardly taste and find the crab in the omelette. My wine glass had a teeny tiny bug.
The place and service is fabulous.
Food is alright. I mean, I don't think I'll come back.
For an experience and appreciation of the history of the place, I'd stay give it a try
Once is enough though.
Lovely setting, in the old airport control tower. The space is very well designed - an airport lounge style waiting area at the front whilst you wait to get seated, a lovely outdoor area for dinner and/or drinks, and an ambient main dining area indoors. Upstairs is for private dining. Food is of great quality, well presented and very tasty. And the wine list is also quite comprehensive. Good service too.
A very decent place to dine within Makati central, backs up onto the Ayala triangle park and within walking distance to the Landmark food store. Had booked for a table for two and rather late just before closing. However we did not feel rushed to finish our meals. Prices are very reasonable, food of a good quality and staff are pleasant and efficient. Formerly an international airport turned library, and now a restaurant this place is recommendable for solo diners to couples and larger groups. More than enough space both indoors and al fresco on the outdoor decked area.
Good place to escape for a while. Food was good. I wouldn't say the best ever. Maybe a place to try once or twice.
Lovely place set in the old airport building. Staff are attentive and professional. Cuisine is a very well executed European x Asian fusion. The quail egg entree is a must and the hanger steak is cooked to perfection (hard to find a place that knows how to cook hanger steak).
The restaurant is clean, organized, and social distancing is observed. The wait staff are professional and courteous and are willing to assist promptly and without issue. The menu is quite large and the prices are a little pricy, but you really get what you pay for here as the food quality is superb. I really recommend eating here if you get the opportunity to do so. Covered outdoor dining is available.
This trip to Blackbird Makati had a star of a dish! The Iberico skewers with Spring Rolls and Vermicelli. The dressing with cilantro made for an amazing balance of all flavors. I'm going back for that. Definitely.
Wonderful food and service, indoor and outdoor dining in the center of Makati (Ayala Triangle Gardens).
Fascinating history: prior to and shortly after the Second World War, the building in which Blackbird is located, used to be the control tower of Nielsen Airport, the base of the American Far Eastern School of Aviation. More importantly, with the introduction of commercial air services at the airport, it became the primary gateway between Manila and the rest of the country and, later, between the Philippines and the world, until 1947-48 when the airport moved to its current location, first as Manila International Airport (MIA), and now as Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The place is so nice and the terrace is beautiful. Ambient is also very pleasant. Food is good but there are some mains that do not reach the quality of the place. Staff is kind and helpful.
I've been to this restaurant a number of times pre-covid and the service when I visited 2 weeks ago was below par. 1. Normally, waiters will tell the diner to be careful of the plate bec.it is hot - it didn't happen, and we were served with a hot plate twice. 2. Serving the main course took 40 to 45 mins. We were dining al fresco and was asked to transfer indoor because there was another reservation so. "we had to vacate the table". Great food and wine nonetheless.
They had a special menu when i visited there.i like the food, the service, and the place.fyi, there's fee in their parking space.
Spent my 32nd birthday dinner in this restaurant. Cleaned up and dressed up a bit to fit the ambience, and it was a definitely lovely experience. Great food, well-trained reception and wait staff and beautiful beautiful place. Been wanting to visit here even before the pandemic, but hard to book on important occasions. Good thing these days it reserving a table is much easier. I won’t go into the details of the food, but what we had were all amazing so rating this restaurant 5/5, considering too the excellent service.
Fine dining at its finest. You can choose whether you want to dine inside or outside. Most of the staff are very accommodating and friendly, a bit pricey but Fine dining is a treat to yourself once in a while and this place is best for it. They have pay parking beside the restaurant and on weekends they are mostly crowded. Good food and beverages
