Bornga reviews
23Superb restaurant good food and nice staff, will surely dine in again. Keep up the good work and good food po.
Their menu is extensive, and has something for different tastes and wants, from soup to the grilled meats.
Quality of the meats we ordered was exquisite. Our server that time, Ms. Kim, took care of cooking them perfectly.
Ms. Kim was also very attentive to both of our parties' needs and wants. Highly commendable!
Great customer service! Very accommodating and friendly. Beef / woo samgyeop was delicious, pork / mansinchang samgyeopsal was a bit chewy but still good. Seafood soft tofu soup / suntofu-jjigae was excellent!
This is our favorite Korean restaurant, we tried a lot of Korean restaurant and Bornga really stands out. The food is really good. The meat is really tasty and fresh. Everything that we eat there are all on point and the best of its kind. The service/staff are attentive and provide immediately what you need. The area is also less chaotic than the other restaurants, you can have a peaceful and enjoyable meal. This place is highly recommended.
The food is super delicious
The staff is so accomodating
The service is so nice
Our favorite restaurant
We ordered so much AND FINISHED IT ALL. Servers were also so helpful on what to order, etc. Also for the pitcher of Yakult Soju
We (party of two) arrived at Borgna at about one hour before their posted closing time on FB, TripAdvisor, and Google (which indicate the restaurant closes at 10 PM). There was only one other group besides us at the restaurant.
We were informed before making our order that it would be the last call and we should include everything we wanted, which we were happy to comply with.
Drinks were served in a timely fashion as well as side dishes.
No sooner were our main courses served than we were presented with the bill and asked to pay immediately.
I informed the waitress that I would pay, but please give us a few minutes to get some food in our stomachs (I had just arrived on an international flight and was very hungry). The waitress walked away and a second waitress appeared two minutes later with the same demand. At this point, I simply declined.
Then the manager came to our table. He began by introducing himself as the manager of the restaurant and demanded that I pay NOW. He said the restaurant closed at 9: 30 PM and the cashier needed to close up.
I relented, paid the bill, we quickly ate, and left.
If we were informed beforehand that payment was required in advance prior to the food arriving, we could have obliged or left, but the choice was not offered.
I have visited this particular Borgna on numerous occasions (three previous times close to closing) and Borgnas in Cambodia, Singapore, and Thailand, and I have never had a similar experience.
In fact, I can't remember anytime in the past 30 years that a sit down restaurant has made such a demand. It is clear the Borgna manager would prefer to make an imposition on their customers for their convenience.
I was searching for a Korean place near our church and stumbled upon Bornga. At first I was hesitant because of the prices however after meeting the waitresses, we were pleasantly welcomed and ushered to a great table.
The pictures in their menu might seem small but the actual sizes are for sharing. We (3 of us) happily ate.
Our waitress was very friendly. Kudos to Nezza! We highly recommend the place if you are looking for great authentic Korean food.
The quality was astounding. We ordered Bibimbap, Sundobu Chige, and Pork Barbeque marinated in gochujang.
Highly recommend! The complimentary Hibiscus tea and pineapple was a nice touch as well
Glad we discovered this resto. Tucked away in the second floor of the building, you might just miss it. However, what it lacks in terms of location, it well makes up for in quality of food and service.
The food is tasty with hefty portions, making it perfect for sharing. I love how I know the side dishes were prepared well. If you're looking for authentic Korean food, this is a great bet.
I'm also a fan of the attentive and warm service. Special thanks to Nezza who made us feel welcome.
We got sondobu jjigae, bibimbap, and pork bbq marinated in gochujang. We loved all of them.
Initially, I found the price point steeper than usual Korean restos but I'd say the prices are justified.:)
Nessa was very accommodating. The experience was made better due to her hospitality. Great food!
It's hard to find a place like this even in Seoul. A restaurant that pays attention to each and every side dish.
Superb service and food! If you love korean bbq and side dishes you should try this. For me mas masarap pa siya kaysa sa ibang samgyupsal restaurants.
Very accomodating and friendly crew. Food is delicious and many side dishes to choose from.
Good food as always. And the service got way better even if it was good before.
Kudos to the Bornga Team!
Spacious and clean
The waitress grilled all the meat to perfection.
There are many types of free punchers, so I'm satisfied.
I think it's a hidden gem
I’ve been going to this place since 2015-16 and in those 6-7yrs I’ve tried eating in most raved Korean Restaurants around Metro Manila and boy, i’m telling you, nothing compares to Bornga! The food, the service, the ambiance of the restaurant has been consistent all thru out the years! Gustong gusto ko itong i share sa mga fb food groups but im too afraid na baka pag kame na kakain sobrang tagal namin mag antay huhuhu. Yes gatekeeper talaga bec Bornga is
First time in Bornga, we normally check the review of each restaurant we go to.its a bit pricey but you paying for a high quality meat and its worth it.service is good, they cook for us.
The most underrated korean restaurant in Metro Manila. Food is great, service is exceptional, and prices are reasonable.
Devis our server was very pleasant and attentive. Food was great! We got the meat set c to try different flavors. Marinated meat was the best and most tender of all. Spicy noodles was really spicy. Side dishes were plenty and all good. And we ended with a yummy & refreshing hibiscus drink. Will definitely go back:)
Good quality meat, perfectly grilled by server (kudos to Devis and his staff), very attentive, respectful. It felt like UNLI serving of banchan, the small plates never go empty and fresh Ssam setting. Authentic Korean bbq experience original branch in Korea) -cooked on top of hot briquettes and we don’t smell like we came from a KBbq joint!
