Food: There was a variety of dishes, particularly it was a European Dishes like Gratin, Pizza, Baguettes, Cold Cuts, etc. Some of the foods that was supposedly Hot is somewhat cold to taste. If a person ate here, he/she would face unfamiliarity to some of the foods.

Service: It was impeccable although few wait-staffs could be seen rounding the tables they could notice the guest needs whenever they pass by. They clear out the finished dishes from the table the moment they saw it from the middle of the table.

Atmosphere: The tables are somewhat near to each other, so if there are reservations that has more than 20-30 pax, the table spacing is narrow. It also became boisterous as there are no dividers or spaces for a group reservation.

Interior Design: There are Symmetrical wall designs and various paintings to appreciate, there is also a spot near the glass windows; it would be a nice view if ate at Lunch time. The lighting was at a brightness in which would make you sleepy after you eat. There are fire alarms and sensors for possible accidents.

Overall: It was a fine mixed Modern European Buffet if I am qualified to say so.

We came in 5 minutes before 12noon but we patiently waited for the restaurant to open. Very very sad a 5 star Hotel to have a very poor restaurant service and food.
Boutique Buffet Dinner is at 1,500 per person. If we pay 1,500 it should be worth it. We pay 3,000 at a Cafe 1228 at a 4 STAR HOTEL - NEW WORLD HOTEL, and the service and food makes you feel like in a 5 Star Hotel.
I would understand 20-30minutes wait for the Ala Carte meals to come in, BUT NOT THE DRINKS. Spoke to the manager, she says they’re under staff. Its wrong management of staff! The hotel has a Wedding Event and majority of the staff was allocated there.
Staff read back orders, but still did it wrong.

Came here for breakfast. Their breakfast buffet at Cafe 8 is at 1,070 per pax. Not bad for a bfast buffet. Don't expect a lot of food choices though but you get unli juices, coffee and hot choco, they usually have soups, arrozcaldo, champorado, sausages, bacon and more plus fruits. Their buffet breakfast starts at 6am to 10am.

My girlfriend and I had breakfast here, and the only thing I can say is that if you are in Alabang, their breakfast buffet is way better than Bellevue Hotel's Cafe d’Asie.

Friendly staffs and great service. The food variety still have space for improvement. Most of the dishes are repeated daily.

Availed of the breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, it was too crowded at it was the holidays. The food were not refilled on time, some food were poorly prepared and it looked liked it was understaffed. Just a suggestion, if the hotel is fully booked, maybe it is better ask the guest around what time they are going to take their breakfast, this will help in the preparation of the food and lessen waiting time.

We went here for their Saturday dinner buffet. Food is really good, one of the best buffets I've been to in terms of quality and taste. However, there are only few food stations and in the japanese section there are only maki sushis (no sushi nigiri as advertised in their facebook, no sashimi of any kind). Drinks included are only water and coffee.

We managed to get the intro rate of P1200 per person. We were informed the current rate is now P1500 per person.

Although has good dishes to serve, staff were not friendly and attentive as they seem. Will not return, sadly.

I would just like to put an affirmative on ALL THE PREVIOUS REVIEWS THAT HAD A 1 STAR RATING. The food isn’t exceptional but by simply taking some details into consideration they could have improved on the dining experience. Turkey and Lamb shouldn’t be carved and left to go cold and dry on their stations. Also when there is Lamb, expect some folks to ask for mint sauce/jelly particularly foreigners. There is a lack of consistency on both the food and the service. Pastry/dessert station had uniform looking items, where-as the maki/sushi station had dismal looking food. The wait-staff i could tell were a mixture of regulars and on-call-agency folks that weren’t completely briefed on service SOPs. All in all, at Php1900.00/pax i would call the whole thing as dining-con. A meal at Shakeys (for comparison) would be a more gratifying experience.

This is an example of quality over quantity. Simplicity is good, keep it simple. Simple slow cooked roast, pasta station and a nice desert selection.

4 stars due to lack of variety and a not so fresh sushi section.

Worth noting:
1) Friendly staff
2) Good service
3) clean and well set tables
4) simple yet very good tasting dishes

All dishes are honest and spot on, well thought off. They lack variety but the taste is commendable!

I definetly recommend this buffet just because it is honest and decent. Way better tasting than 80% of buffets in Manila

This is my second visit to Cafe 8 at Crimson Hotel. I was quite surprised with the number of selections they had during my first visit and it wasn't all presentation. The food was actually good.

Unfortunately, consistency is apparently too much to expect from this place. This time around, the selection was sparce and the taste is forgettable.or you may actually want to consciously erase it from memory.

As one of the few buffet options in this part of the south, it's really quite a disappointment and an embarrassment to southerners.

If my answer to the question "How's the food at Crimson? " was "It's actually not bad and worth a try", my new response would be: "meh.food, edible; price, not worth it; ambiance, sure, why not". As for the service, they were nice.

If someone invites you there for coffee, a meal, or drinks, sure, it wouldn't hurt. However, going there on purpose makes your life choices questionable. (unless you're taking someone you dont like and needs to be punished).

They have this corp spin they call "Boutique Buffet" to make you think you're eating "classy" in the weekdays when as a matter of fact, they serve you with only 3 kinds of dishes (they served DORY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!) and tag you with a P699 bill for your effort. THANKS A LOT CRIMSON! EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Date for Two: Churrasco-style Sunday Brunch Buffet
Total: P4200

Overall: A 5-star hotel wouldn’t be complete without an equally exquisite buffet. Cafe Eight is Crimson Hotel Alabang’s hub for the international food offerings – best part, everything’s unlimited and you’ll get a breathtaking view of Alabang.

Churrasco-style Sunday Brunch Buffet (P2100) – Racks of different meats on skewers were present in the dining hall, and all those also came around individually to serve everyone. No need to get up and get it, it will be sliced and served fresh right in front of each table. Each cut is a delight as it falls down on our plate. That day’s winner is the lamb, bold and smooth, tasty and juicy.

Like most churrascarias in the metro, Cafe Eight also uses this double-sided coin system which we have to turn if we would want more meat, and when’s enough, turn back to ‘No, Thanks’. Cool. They have a pre-served selection of sauces. The chimichurri is a sure hit!

Cafe Eight regularly changes their highlight of cuisine. So far, the Churrasco-style theme is the best we’ve tried for carnivores like us. Their mainstay stations like Japanese, Ice Cream, Seafood, Bread, Cold Cuts and Cheese, Entrees, Salad, etc.deserves the recognition too. We love their ice creams! Our favorite is their pistachio ice cream topped with the chocolate fondue from the chocolate fountain (our very own recipe! Haha!).

Their Cold Cuts and Cheese station needs a good spotlight, too! Every plate contains premium meats and cheese. Trust us, we can tell. Their selection of cheese is quite impressive. Not that much, but quality-wise, oh yes!

Watch out for more of Cafe Eight’s promos and buffet offerings. See link below for more info.

Value for money: Price can be hefty but if you’re a purist for buffets and pace really well, the quality meats and other stuffs are worth it.

Very very few selection.
Not worth what I'm paying for.
Sad to say but for a buffet at a 5 star hotel, i expected more.
Worth commending their staff for being very attentive.

The layout of the food was unique and spaced for easy access in each designated section. Each food station had a smiling staff member and the upkeep of each section was clean and neat. The best time to observe a staff is when they don't know you are looking. I found the staff to be professional during my stay and I didn't see any member on their phone or being distracted by any means. I was greeted at all times while I choosed food from each station.

The food was great and I enjoyed trying the variety of items that was offered. I will return back soon for another visit and I will highly recommend this restaurant.

Celebrated birthday here with my family, group of four with eatigo 50% off, whatta deal! Staff are great, very friendly and accomodating, you feel so special
Food is great, enough selection for everyone in the family; my son loved the rattatouille, he went for a second serving! This place is unlike your regular buffet spots, very cozy and the music is calming. 5 stars isnt enough!
Highly recommended for family dinner, especially for those who live in the south
Crimson is just across South Station and the Cafe is at the 8th Floor

High quality ingredients and presentation. Upscale ambience. Great value if you get a discount through Eatigo or Zomato Gold. Service is very attentive. Server Domz from Saturday lunch was very kind.

If you dine buffet style in a hotel you expect nothing if not the best at least a decent array of food for its price. I don’t mind paying if it’s worth it. For a first time visitor like me I’m very disappointed. Their choices of food is nothing much than like that of a regular carinderia. They have palabok which doesn’t even look palatable, and a ginisang sayote, seriously they could have done better. It’s only 8pm and they don’t want to refill the table except if you ask them. Their seafood has seen better days. The coffee is not even hot enough for the creamer to dissolve. Ordinary buffet restaurant did a better job than at this hotel. The only saving grace is the efficiency and service of their staff.
