Cinema '76 Film Society reviews
25The best cinema I have ever been since I got hooked with local indie films 4-5 years ago. They have limited seats, but that's fine as long as you have made an early reservation. I've only been here twice since I went back to my province last 2017, and I wish I knew about this awesome place earlier. They sell merch from the movies, too! I would definitely visit this place once I go back to Manila. This is one of my favorite places in the metro.
We had the cinema to ourselves. No complaints on the seats and the audio/video. Really cold, though
We need more places like Cinema 76. Unlike the cinemas attached to malls, Cinema 76 forces you to concentrate on the film that's showing on-screen.
My only concern with the venue is that the stairs entering the theater are a bit steep. Parking can be an issue as well. There is no space to park your car at certain times. It's best to park somewhere else, like Greenhills Shopping Center and taking a Grab to the place.
This was our first time to go after hearing about this theater for so long. There were a total of 5 in the audience. It was like we had a special screening in our own theater! Though we had cushy couches, for some reason, my knees felt stiff after the 2 hour film. I look forward to return visits.
Nice to catch films here that i was not able to watch in regular cinemas. Seats are not so comfortable for me.
The place offers local indie films which you wouldn't normally see in local movie houses. Though the ticket price is cheap, the quality of the film is very good. They have a wide variety of options and genres. Perfect for small groups of viewers.
The viewing area is small but cozy, quiet, and dark enough to enjoy the film located ate the second floor. You can sit on the sofas made of wood palettes with cushions. Don't worry these seats are comfortable. There are also throw pillows available.
Food, drinkals and merchandise are available downstairs. Restroom is also available downstairs.
Overall, the place is very nice, all the more if you're a big indie film fan. They offer new films every so often, just follow their page om facebook to get updated.
It was a pleasant surprise to find this cozy cinema in the heart of San Juan. The cinema is very cozy. Perfect for chillout nights with friends or a romantic movie date with your SO. The fact that they Filipino movies is also a big plus for me.
Let's support the Pinoy movie industry.
Favorite movie house for me and my movie buddy. They regularly feature gems of Filipino indie movies. Comfy wooden sofas make this place intimate and cozy. Limited seats and there may be a bit of a waiting time since there's only one cinema.
They have a great selection of films and even invite producers and directors for talks after the film!
I love the cozy ambiance as it just lets you enjoy and appreciate movies without having to go through the distraction that the chaotic mall crowd generates.
An awesome place for decent, intelligent movies. The staff are amiable and the theater is cozy.
Loved the cozy and private viewing vibe, accentuated well by their comfortable long couches made of palochino wood. It's great that they show indie films and other highly acclaimed Filipino movies. Will keep coming back.
For a price of P150, you'll be able to watch movies that are no longer screening in cinemas. This is your chance to see movies you missed for whatever reason. The Mandaluyong branch is located around residential area so you better be bringing your snacks from grocery before going here. There is a small sarisari store nearby but it doesnt have much to offer. Comfy seats.
The place is good. Food is allowed in the Cinema but you have to stay at the back. Comfort room is clean. The personnel are accomodating.
An ok place to watch. The seats may or may not be comfortable since it's a long set of sofa. The seats are also not elevated so sit at the front if there are a lot of people watching.
Finding a parking spot will be hard since it's located inside a residential area and along a busy street. Be prepared to do a mini hike to get to the nearest mall or ATM as the streets go up and down and slippery when raining.
I consider this as my safe haven. I used to go here to watch indie films before but now they even offer mainstream films. Still, it's cheaper than mall cinemas.
Nice place in the metro to watch indie, m-indie filipino films. With a very welcoming staff. You will enjoy it.
This is a perfect place for indie film fans and movie-goers. With their comfy couches, quality films with quality storylines, plus the fact that the place is not crowded, you get value for money. About time that this place gets the publicity and support it deserves
Cozy theatre showing great film choices. Find your independent, cinemalaya, cine Filipino, and old Filipino films here!
Best place in the metro to watch your classic indie, m-indie filipino films. With the ticket priced at 150 and a very welcoming staff. It's a guarantee that you'll enjoy the experience
