Gino's Brick Oven Pizza reviews
55Nice place for pizza in Katipunan. Lots of options and can even cross order from Tyler Cafe’s menu. Parking out front is a bit limited but there’s a few more at the back.
"Authentic" tasting pizza; not unlike the usual chains that are everywhere. SMEGG and BOMB Pizza are good. They serve alcohol too if you're into that. Their pastas are also excellent. On top of that, service is impeccable. No photos of the pizza cause they were so good we forgot to take photos.
Did not like the b.o. M.b pizza, caramelized onions too sweet but otherwise v good espfresh pasta
Never saying no to Gino’s Pizza. Their pizza has the best dough, and the innovative variants are just the right amount of quirky. Their burrata is to die for, and I appreciate that their pasta remains handmade even now that they have multiple branches.
Nagulat ako sa bilis ng dating ng unang pizza namin lol
The breakfast pizza is reeeeaaally good! Bacon, sausage, eggs, and gouda tapos buhusan niyo ng spiced honey (they gave us a bottle ️ I enjoyed it a lot). Iyong nasa picture, photogenic na margherita pizza that I later had for takeout kasi nabusog na kami but it still tasted very good even after a night in the fridge
Sa pasta dishes, arrabiata is deliciously spicy, at masarap din ang salted egg pasta, hindi siya nakakaumay
We also had one of their cheeses (the one with truffle in the title). It comes with bread, and it goes excellently with the bread.
Siyempre you need quite a budget to eat here deliciously; don't expect the food here to be cheap pero ansarap talagaaaaa.
We came in for brunch, mga 10: 30ish, and the lunch crowd came in at 11: 45 just as we were leaving. ^^
Gourmet pizzas and a nice ambience, with friendly service. The kitchen is small and some items may take time to prepare, but pizzas can be turned out quickly. The price point is a bit high, so this is better as an occasional treat than a regular dining establishment.
If you are looking for some fine Italian pizzas and pasta, Gino's is the place for you. The service was brilliant but the food was so much better, their chefs are experts at their craft. Definitely worth a visit with that special someone
Gino's is always delicious & value for money. You can tell the owner & chef paid attention to detail & prepared their food well
Ingredients were fresh; pizza and pasta was great. Crust was chewy and soft. Honey and peppercorns is an immaculate combination.
If you ask nicely, they can provide you with their wifi password. Gino's is also adjacent with Tyler's cafe that looks really cozy.
Will definitely come back!
The pizza was definitely superior to standard local offerings like Shakey's or Yellow Cab, and not necessarily much more expensive. The dough was nice and chewy, good quality and they use fresh ingredients - I like the fact that they use Kesong Puti as a great alternative to a more expensive imported Mozzarella, but the later is also available. Plenty of options for toppings, some of them quite original like the breakfast pizza. Probably one of the best pizza choices in the neighborhood. Very friendly service. Will be back.
This restaurant offer very good pizza and pasta with some localized and unique flavors. Their chili honey sauce is a must try for the pizza since it adds a unique flavor to the pizza's taste. They also use brick oven to cook their pizza so their crust is crunchy and thin unlike local shops with mostly dough in their crust with not much toppings. Foreign and local credit cards are allowed and their menu definitely has English.
Restaurant's very accesible and has an available parking area. I'm not sure as to when's their peak hours but we got the one remaining parking slot. It is located across ADMU.
The staff are accommodating and quick to serve us. We ordered their House Salad, Bacon Spinach Pizza and Arrabbiata with Sausage Pasta. They were able to serve the foods quickyl, less than (I think) 15 minutes.
The food we ordered are delicious and serving is good enough for the price. The Arrabbiata pasta is quite spicy of you're sensitive to anything spicy.
Overall, it was a good dining experience.
The ambiance is nice. Price is reasonable. However the pizza that we got is kinda salty than usual.
Pros
If you're looking for a great pizza place that has that brick oven taste. This is the place.
I ordered the 5 cheese pizza and it was really delicious.
Truffle Burratta was above average too.
Needs Improvement:
Parking? Not a lot of space.
We ordered white wine (a french Riesling) - it was okay even when paired with their Burratta
This place never disappoints. Come to think of it, last time we ate at this place was before the pandemic. The quality is still superb and the profeaailmalism has even gotten better. Tyler's which is the restaurant adjoining Gino's has equally maintained what makes these establishments par excellence. The pizza are one of the best in QC
The ricotta pancakes in Tyler's is a must have and a must have as well is the smoked beef dish
Tyler's.
Thank you for rising above the pandemic and mediocrity! More power!
Absolutely divine. Do yourself a favor and order the spinach, bacon, and cream cheese. Drizzle with their spicy honey. Perfect with their burrata.
Nothing can go wrong when you dine at Gino's. My faves are: mushroom parmigiano and bacon spinach pizza with complimentary spicy honey. I also like their house summer salad with burrata but it's not available in the pandemic menu. They serve good quality brick oven pizzas and fresh pastas in Manila You should try it!
Their food is always superb. The staff is very nice and helpful too.
They have set up a tent as a waiting area for riders too. So I feel more comfortable knowing the crew inside only interacts with themselves. Only one person interacts with the riders and customers too.
Best pizzas in Manila for me. Their pizza crust has that distinct burnt Italian flavor from the oven. Also bring your favorite wine! They don't charge corkage for wines.
I'm torn because I'm also a big fan of New York style pizza but Gino's surely makes one of the best pizzas in the country. If I had to critique, maybe I'd ask for a few more appetizers, but that's not really much of an issue. Ingredients and execution are top notch, and the staff know it to be so. Gino's is a sure go-to for pizza lovers and anyone looking for a taste of simple, no frills, Italian food.
