High Street Cafe reviews
59I love their afternoon tea. Also, the ambiance was just perfect. My companion and I visited at around 4pm, and we had a wonderful time catching up. The food was superb and the place looked elegant with its beautiful furnishings, comfortable seats, relaxing music, and spacious surroundings. The only downside was, the waitress forgot to refill our tea when we requested it. I guess it got really busy past 5pm.
Warm ambience and good service as always. However the quality of the food has gone down compared to what it was before the pandemic. We ordered a brouchetas that were just 4 pieces and completely tasteless. The fries were supposed to be bbq fries but were nothing but plain fries with tomato sauce. The beer selection was extremely limited. Before the pandemic they had a couple of American craft beers but now it is the run of the mill international beers and San mig. Hope they recover and get back to why they were in 2019. For now I would not recommend the place or visit again. However once again would like to commend the staff for the excellent service.
If you love brunch / a wonderful filling breakfast, then this place is it for you in Manila. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it's premium! Nothing short of beautiful, tasty and wholesome. There's something for everyone's taste buds here.
Great for afternoon tea. Great service and also ambience. Afternoon tea is a bit expensive but taste is okay.
Beautiful hotel and nice breakfast buffet here available at the high street cafe.very nice and accommodating staff let me order something from the normal menu not being served now in the cafe (but apparently still available for room service, although i was not staying there) - tried the shakshuka as i've been making my way trying all those available around bgc.while it was decent, on subsequent returns i think i'd opt for trying the large buffet instead.
Too bad I don't live close I love this place. The food is pricey but expected as it is inside a first class hotel. It is comfy and classy. I love hanging out here
It is expensive, but really, what do you expect at Shangri-La buffet? Of course it is a 5-star hotel with a 5-star services. Same with High Street cafe, all personnel were friendly and attentive.
The set-up is just ‘okay’ but glad that it is very clean and smelt good.
What I love in this buffet is the seafood selection, it definitely is worth your money. I also like the lamb, it is well-cooked to its perfection.
Am I gonna try here again? Of Course!
My mom and I celebrated our birthday at the High Street Cafe. While this is more expensive than other buffet restaurants, I believe the quality of the food and the more upscale ambiance more than makes up for it. They offer a wide selection of dishes and desserts. I especially love their Japanese section, as I am a huge fan of Japanese cuisine
Met a friend here for breakfast on a Monday and we had a great time.
My family and I don't normally eat at buffet style dining because we don't eat much and it's a waste of money. But in this case, it's an exception.
The food choices were very extensive and of best quality. Definitely recommend visiting the buffet at High Street Cafe.
Wonderful spread! Not too crowded (we dined on a weekend), great selection. Loved their Gelato and dessert section! Will definitely dine again!
1. Fish fillet was not fresh. Felt tingly in the tongue.
2. The crawfish is not fresh. Garlic butter shrimp doesnt taste like garlic nor butter.
3. No LC/Keto friendly dessert such as creme brulee.
4. Food is okay but too expensive for the taste or quality. There are better options at this price point.
5. Lechon's (roasted pig) skin is not crunchy, bland and not fresh.
6. Should have been one star but I added one for our server Joseph for a job well done.
7. Best food I had was the salmon sashimi.ironically the one that is not cooked.
I hope they improve when we go back there.
The desserts are phenomenal! Will visit again. I just wish they could add more cuisines but nevertheless, the food offered was great. ️
You will be spoilt for food choices. There are so many kinds to choose from, you will have a hard time trying all of their delicious dishes
There's a dearth of food selection. The carving station serves only beef. There were only 3 dimsum dishes. The food layout was spread out to look big. There are some bright spots though like the macarons and the staff were attentive and really nice. Paying 2300 plus another 320 for the drink, not worth it Overall, I am not a fan, I've had better dining experience.
Nice restaurant In Shangri-La @ The Fort in Manila. Serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Selection of food and drinks is very wide and extensive. Service is awesome. Food taste is good. Many live cooking stations and desserts are awesome. Plenty of seating with nice deco.
One of the nicest buffet! Great food choices and service. Be careful of the juices displayed in the center aisle. We mistaken it as normal juice, it was mixed booze.hahahaha. It was additional 600 pesos for unli booze.hehehe
It's a pity no wet towel or tissue provided as there are many crabs and prawns. But the toilet is outside of the restaurant. It's so easy to get your fingers dirty with the shall fish, but not easy to get it cleaned. Also the soft drinks are not free.
The buffet has a little bit of everything and very sophisticated. Highlighted some of the best cuisine from Asia.each was very good and tasted amazing. Would recommend!
Great Mediterranean and European food! Cheese and Charcuterie selections were excellent.
Not so great Asian food except maybe the Laksa and a Chili Chicken dish.
Seafood selections were limited but fresh.
Desserts are good too!
We celebrated my brother's birthday and my parent's anniversary here. For me, this is the most coziest buffet. Tablesand seats are well spaced and full window view outside.
As for the food, all are delicious but the selection has something to improve on. Specially the indian section where they only offer bread and laksa. I just hope there's more, it is quite sad to look at.
Also you have to pay additional p200-300 to avail of their beverages which is quite new to me. Specially that you are paying 2k pesos. Oh well, water is healthier anyway. Hehe
For me the highlight of their buffet is their dessert. They have macaroons, cake, ice cream, and a lot more. I suggest that you allocate extra stomach space here. Hehe
Thank you for the excellent service high street cafe staff. Until next time.
