A national headquarter of PRC, a humanitarian organization in the Philippines. The office location is strategic. The staffs are so friendly.

As a regular blood donor, I have been to different facilities to donate blood, but Philippine Red Cross is my go-to for a very pleasant blood donation experience. The headquarters is clean, the staff are all professional, friendly and organized, and you can get your blood donation done in less than 30 minutes (rest excluded).

If interested to donate, please see some reminders below.

Preparation before donating blood:
1. Have enough rest and sleep (minimum 8 hours, will be rejected if lacks sleep).
2. No alcohol intake 24 hours prior to blood donation.
3. No medications for at least 24 hours prior to blood donation.
4. Have something to eat prior to blood donation, avoid fatty food.
5. Drink plenty of fluid, like water or juice

What to expect:
Before blood donation

You will be asked to fill up a Donor's Form upon arrival at the blood collection site.
Questions regarding your health history wil be asked by a trained professional staff.
Your weight, blood pressure, pulse rate and temperature will be checked.
You will be examined by a physician.
Small sample of blood will be taken to check your blood type and hemoglobin level.
Screening and selection procedure will usually take  about 10 to 15 minutes.

During Blood Donation
You will be asked to lie down on the blood donor's couch for blood collection. This will take about 10 to 15 minutes.

After Blood Donation
You will be advised to rest for 10 more minutes.
Beverage and simple snacks will be provided.

Accommodates early before the scheduled time of our vaccine Janssen or J&J and the staffs are polite and hospitable even the guard let us parked our car at 7pm thank you PRC.

Visited this place two weeks ago when my mother needed an RBC for transfusion. The place is clean and organize. Protocols are being observed and attendants are accommodating.

Staffs are accomodating if younhave any inquiries. Went here for a blood donation and process is smooth. Nurses are friendly. Blood donation is open even on weekends and holidays.

Spacious offices.

Staff at the blood center are friendly. Facilities are clean. The area for donation is air-conditioned. Weekday hours 0800-1600, weekend 0800-1700. People are accommodating.

Modern and really clean! Professional staff and luxurious furniture. Blood donation took only 15min.

This is where I had my On-the-Job Training. People are so welcoming, and PRC-NHQ itself is comfortable.

Very accommodating staff. Clean. You can also buy first aid kits here to help the institution generate funds.

Pretty clean and bare. You can donate whole blood here or via apheresis (usually blood platelets). The phlebotomists are quite professional.
