SM Cinema reviews
24We had a great experience. If you book online they put popcorn and bottle water on the table by your seat. The chairs recline and are very soft and comfortable. The staff delivered our food order and was very kind and helpful. A great time was had by all.
Watched MI: Dead Reckoning Part I and Insidious: Red Door, it was nice. The cinema is clean and silence is observed.
The cinema is good and clean. Nice seats as compared with those when we were young. Now it is more convenient, spacious, and more systematic coz you get to choose seats you wanna occupy in advance. The only thing I am concerned about is that they have stopped the on-line purchase of tickets and reservation unlike before, we can do it on-line especially for the director's club.
There are two types of cinema here; regular and vip.
We tried the VIP and I can say that its nice.
The chairs here are cool, it has a control for adjusting your sitting position, call button, dim light.
Less chairs are available here so it won't feel too crowded.
Price is also reasonable.
Highly recommended cinema. Great experience for both kids and adults. Very comfortable seats and ample space for the leg room. You should try.
FREE Movies for Marikina Senior Citizens on Mondays and Tuesdays (except Holidays) on First Screening of Selected Movies, is undoubtedly one of the best projects Marikina City has ever made for its older adults constituents. In cooperation with the Management of SM City Marikina, the fresh and newly renovated cinemas have revived the delight and excitement of Juniors and Seniors alike in having fun and sharing bonding moments.
SM Marikina Cinema Tickets Cashiers Joy and Genevieve were both knowledgeable, helpful and courteous in answering queries darted at them.
Other cinema Staff particularly Ticket Takers Desiree and Carlo and the Security Guards were accommodating and diligent in their respective jobs as well.
The well-maintained cinemas offer soft reclining seats with ample legroom for the moviegoers to comfortably enjoy even the longest viewing hours.
The Cinema lobby was also clean and orderly with a spacious six-cubicle restroom conveniently stationed nearby.
I love the new reclining seats and the wide leg room! Way to go SM Cinema! Finally made attempts to catch up with their competitors. Hopefully soon the theaters will be equipped with Atmos speakers.
The cinema is newly-renovated and the viewing experience has been so much better. The seats recline more than those of SM North Edsa (this is where we used to watch when the cinemas re-opened) so it’s much more comfortable and doesn’t hurt my back for a two-hour long film. Also, it’s really clean! Can’t wait for them to finally finish the lobby and hopefully they provide more seats.
Hope they’ll have Director’s club, too.
This SM City is the best designed SM Mall for me. It has service roads which helps a lot to ease traffic around the area. The parking lot is big, the mall never get too crowded even on Sales Days.
Clean theater. I've just been there twice. Cinema 3 and 8 has the same size and it is small, what do I mean by small is it is super comfortable, not crowded, efficient use of space. Unlike big theater making your seat smaller for larger number of viewers. ;)
Cinema 8 is good. Great screen and audio too. The size is good for fair number of audience. Its OK.
SM is the only theater brand in metro Manila that only accepts credit cards issued in the Philippines. Foreign credit cards (regardless of Visa/MC) are not allowed unless you physically buy from the ticket booth. Extremely inconvenient. 2 stars until fixed.

SM CINEMA, The place is nice and clean.
You can watch and visit them everyday and check all the movies you want to hang out with your friends and families.
Decent place to catch the latest movies. Tickets are about the same as any movie theaters, I guess. Movie snacks are typical and inexpensive.
The cinema is clean and chairs are comfy. The aircon is just ok. Not as cool as the other cinemas I have been to. The sound system is also good.
Cinema is old needs to be updated, also when we watched the movie started earlier than the schedule.
Hindi crowded pag sa SM marikina manuod ng movie at relax lang mga tao dun compare sa Megamall. Laging rush lahat.
Temp is good and comfortable. Friendly staff. But too big and the screen is to small if your in the mid part. I recommend ayala feliz. Feels like VIP
I'm loving my SM cinema esp.the one near me, it's kinda new and smells like cucumber melon because they have it in the wall that Spritz every now n then, so no foul smell.one time also, my friend and i experienced the alone moment, just the two of us, just like we pay for a block screening, it's because it's the first day, first screening Wednesday morning, it's really creepy at first but because it's new n smells good, we felt safe.and enjoyed "the simple favor movie" with our take out.
