SM Cinema Manila reviews
27 The cinema was dirty. While watching a film, I was distracted by rustling noises of the empty seats beside me. When I turned my flashlight on towards the direction of the sound, there was a rat running away from the trash left behind from the previous guests. I had to reseat myself because the rustling moved somewhere nearer.
Film variety is good though. This was one of the few cinemas that screened Plan 75.
I did my Philippines National ID here, I just registered on-line then do my 2nd part here very convenient, stay safe fellow Filipinos? ️
BEFORE (4 MONTHS AGO)
It was my first time to watch, for free as a senior citizen, at SM Cinema 6 in Manila.
This Cinema 6 is very good in its entirety - temperature, sound, screen, and overall ambiance.
I had totally enjoyed watching Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness that I stayed on throughout the 2-hour film (in instances when a film bores me, I would abandon the viewing after 5 minutes).
Cinemas throughout the PH islands must be like Cinema 6. To date, the SM Cinemas in Lucena City are horrifying - they are the exact opposites of Cinema 6.
UPDATE (AFTER 4 MONTHS - NOW)
On Tuesday, July 26,2022, I went to watch Thor at SM Cinema 4, SM City Manila.
Oh dear. I could hardly see the trailer, because the screen was so dimly lit, nor I could hear the characters on the screen talk, because the sound level was so low as if everybody was whispering.
Come the feature movie time, there were some improvements in the screen lighting and the sound level, but, truly, these did not make for an enjoyable movie watching. The movie Thor needed some loud sounds and bright screen lights to really enjoy it. I went out after reaching just a third of the movie.
SM Cinema must be economizing the electricity consumption of their projectors and sound system. A dampener to say the least.
It has been years since I last watched a movie on a cinema. I'm glad that SM Manila still has this capability.
Great sound good seats. A restroom for every cinema. However.
If you're commuting, never catch the last full show. Nowadays they close the front and back of the mall entrance so the guards will re-route you to the elevators at the car park. Its so hot here. Then youll walk what feels like a mile towards the street. Some dark portions and most of all, youll pass the massive a/c area which is too noisy and too hot. Terrible!
No respect.
The only SM mall in NCR that does this. BOO!
Nag book ako 2 tickets nag confirm naman pero ibang seats na binigay sa binook ko at yung nasa confirmation ko
The picture quality is not very bright. They should use a better reflection screen or projector. The sound is decent enough.
Baka naman pwede taasan brightness nung film? Buti nalang andyan si electro para makita maayos yung palabas.
Felt the same vibes as the old times I came there.but somehow the movie Spiderman I watch on cinema 6 is somehow not clear.
Cinema room is partially ok.
There are some mess from previous viewers but still tolerable.
Some seats needs maintenance due to alignment concerns.
Some seats also needs cleaning.
Excellent staff services.
Very good sound quality.
Very good video quality.
A Great place to visit and this mall is very near from LRT Central Station, City hall of Manila and Also the Famous Bonifacio Shrine.
Go to a different mall and watch your movies. Who will be excited to see dumps of trash in the cinema?
You pay the same price for reclining chairs, go to that mall and you get a better quality in cleanliness. This a super negative
One of the worst cinema ever. The floor was sticky, the seats was smelly.try other movie house.
Nothing particularly stands out. Just what you'd expect from a cinema. Still 5 star. No discomfort, problems or anything.
I love watching movie out there, especially it has a good conditioner, you'll need a jacket or a blanket while watching the movie, but the bad thing is that the popcorns are way to powdery and salty, not worth buying
Good cinema but they need to improve their air conditioning system. The screen quality is good but the temperature in the cinema makes you sweat.
A lot of cinemas to accommodate a lot of movie goers, needs a bit of maintenance though cleaniliness-wise, nevertheless if you don't want overcrowded cinemas during a major box office releases (like Avengers etc.) this is the place to be.
SM cinemas in Manila are just like any other theaters. They have scheduled filming si you can watch at your most convinient time. They all tell us if its full. So many latest movies to watch. Just get your tickets and go.
They offer variety of films since they have a good number of cinemas. They screem films for weeks compared to other cinemas (Kung di na showing sa ibang cinemas, dito ko madalas napapanood yung mga gusto kong mapanood.) They also offer seasonal special film viewing since they participate in some of the Film Festivals in Metro Manila.
Same as other SM. Good place to watch movies.
Just dont like the new rule no outside food.
