SM Cinema North EDSA reviews
41 New cinema of SM, it’s by the block. I love the leather seats, generous leg room, and not the used to be SM na sobrang layo ng screen.
I love that their ticket booth has priority lane for PWDs, Seniors, Pregnant, and simply MOMS.
Thank you SM!
I loved how they updated the seats during or after the pandemic. The seats are very comfortable, and the option to recline the seats easily provides more comfort and a better experience of the movie. Great job!
Pinaka worst na" IMAX experience" as in sayang pera. Mas okay talaga sa SM Fairview and other branch ng SM na may IMAX. Why sa ibang SM? Kasi dito.
Climate = Ang init! Di ko ine-expect na mainit sa Cinema. Hindi naman sobrang puno like 100% occupancy ng seats, it's like 85 to 90% lng.
Sound quality = so so, hindi balance ung sound, slight mas malakas yung sound sa right side ng screen. Di siguro pansin ng others pero I can hear it and I care about it pag dating sa sounds.
Visual = mehhh, sayang pera parang normal na cinema screen lng ginawa lng curved. May part pang di abot ng projected film sa upper right.
Rates are much lower than the nearby cinemas, newly renovated.very nice, smell is clean, chairs are so comfortable and adjustable.
I went to see Oppenheimer in their IMAX theater. The size of the screen was as expected for IMAX and the audio setup was okay, but not amazing. If I'm correct their screen's resolution is only 2K; not 4K unlike those offered in competing theatres. The seats and the arrangement is what you would expect from a mall cinema, it wasn't anything special. Overall, for the price it's a good movie going experience but you can surely find better at other locations.
Has improved over time, chairs are more comfortable than before.
Hope they maintain it over time
The seats have improved a lot since pre-pandemic/pre-renovation. We now have wide, leather, reclining seats.
Seats in the regular cinema are now better than the seats in IMAX.
Sound and projection are fine and the same to me whether you watch in The Block or in the Main Building (it used to be that the The Block cinemas were much better).
Cinemas don't seem to have lights on the walls (apart from emergency light) and the ceiling lights don't seem to be dimmable. This means that you'll be watching trailers under fairly harsh ceiling lights.
Credit cards are accepted. SMAC no longer valid for SM Cinemas purchases.
I love how they have adapted and configured the cinemas.
Still a comfortable seating though they have yet to do reserve seating up to this day. Not sure why?
Nice place to buy anything, from shoes to bags, gadgets etc. But the parking is always full.
You can purchase tickets online but with a 30 pesos convenience fee. Not bad, at least you can pick the best spot. Free mineral water for every purchase.
Almost perfect because the seats lack foot rest and the seats blocks the view specially when you are seated at the back.
Seats are improved! Bigger and well maintained. Screen is okay as usual. Its my fam's go to cinema since we are from the north side.
Everything is well. I like the cleanliness especially in their comfort rooms, and when queuing for snacks or tickets it won't take you long as there are a lot of staff that could cater to you (you can also buy online).
Enjoyed the cinemas, comfy seats, super lamig so bring a jacket. Great variety of stores to shop in and places to dine. Marami lang tao during the weekends.
Have a great time watching Top Gun: Maverick, superb cinema sound effects speakers, comfy seat and a wide leg room, you can also put your snacks and drinks beside you bc of the two wide holes. Such a memorable place, will definitely comeback for JJK O and THOR love and thunder?
Newly-renovated. Nice theater leather seats, legroom is very spacious compared to the old set up. Waiting/lounge and restroom areas are well-kept. No outside food and drinks allowed. Snacks available just beside the ticket booth.
They have renovated the cinemas during the pandemic and it's now a lot nicer. The new seats are very comfortable and reclines. There is ample legroom so it's not uncomfortable if people would need to pass through to get to their seats.
The cinemas are ok. The problem is the long line. They only have 2 counters and the other one only accepts cash when we were there. One of the 2 counters are also for senior citizens/pwd/pregnant women. Would be best to book your tickets online in advance.
Watched Dr. Strange, to my dismay, it was almost as hot inside as it was outside. Not recommended to watch here in IMAX. Worst ever.
Actually madalas talaga kami dito, ang ayaw ko lang masyadong crowded na. Unlike dati. SM still the best pa rin para sa mga needs and essentials mo
