SPIRAL reviews
72 Just amazing. A little expensive for a dinner meal, but couldn't recommend it enough in having breakfast added to your room booking.
Food is spectacular and all the chefs and waiting staff are amazing.
This is my second time here in Spiral Buffet and in my honest opinion comparing to NIU, Vikings, and Medley buffet it is over priced. The drinks are not included in P3,300 per person for lunch.
Perfect. We were seated beside the fountain and we have an attendant always catering to our needs. You don’t even have to ask them, they already know what to do. I was getting crabs and the attendant already put a bowl of water for hand washing and a cracker for the shells. Service is just impeccable. The food was great, I can say I liked around 75% of the food that they offered.
I think the rumor is too exaggerated.
They only imitate foreign food and the food is not tasty.
Fantastic food. Great quality and cleanliness. The array of selections were dizzying. From:
- Thai
- Chinese
- Indonesian
- Brazilian
- Italian
- Indian
- Japanese
Servers were constantly checking on drinks and empty plates. Coffee (Illy brand) and tea are included. I would probably checkout one of the video reviews on YouTube to get yourself familiar before going otherwise if you’re one of those people that likes to tour the entire buffet before you pick up a plate you’ll be there for a half hour getting familiar!
The chubby guy in a suit stationed at the entrance on September 30,2023 at around 11: 53am should not be there. He has an attitude problem and is an irony of what a 5-star hotel like Sofitel should be. He said he was the manager but based on the waiters, he is the supervisor/assistant manager. Who knows? Maybe he is also lying. I pity the real manager for being misrepresented. I really like Spiral and too bad, I have not reviewed it before. I could have given it a 5-star rating. But seriously, putting a liar (maybe) and a non-accommodating person at your entrance will destroy your reputation no matter how good your other people are and the food choices you have. I hope Sofitel reads this review because I got so annoyed with that guy and I am sure I'm not the only one who had that encounter with him.
While staying at Sofitel, I experienced the breakfast buffet several times, but it was the first time I had requested for dinner. It was a perfect vacation, with room upgrades, dinner buffet, and Le Spa to enjoy a staycation.
Thanks to the friendly service of the club room manager LUX, I had a more perfect family vacation.
A lot of cuisine options to choose from Chinese, French, Japanese, Indian, etc. Enjoyed most of the food I've tried. If you're a cheese lover, you must try the cheese room. One serving might make you full already so manage your meal before visiting. I would definitely visit again given I have the money to spare.
Great dining experience with a variety of dishes. Staff are very commendable for maintaining physical distancing during the pandemic and in accommodating customers.
Front staff are trashy and pushy. Didn’t put me in a good mood to eat. Hard to get to food due to protocols. When I do, it’s disappointing. Fresh seafood area looks sad. Pretty meh quality considering the hype
Foods: ️️️️️
For a breakfast lover like me, this is actually like a paradise. I really loved everything in the breakfast buffet.
Price:
A bit pricey but, the price is reasonable since the breakfast buffet is already included in the hotel stay. I can say that the price is worth it in every bit of the foods that we have eaten.
Thank you Spiral for the best service and foods that you have?
Having breakfast here with my loved one everytime he come is amazing. Its just that they have too much option you don't know what to get. You can even request the chef to cook something in front of you in a way that you prefer.
All in one place.tasty and sumptuous.all international foods.worth the price for Accor members.
All the staff were friendly and serves you well! Highly attentive and they’re happy doing their work. But for the food, Basically you’re paying for the ambiance. But the food isn’t worth the price tag. Went on a Sunday brunch.social distancing in seats. Due to covid it’s not a buffet in the sense of getting your own food. There are servers each section and you’ll ask for the dish. They’ll give it to you in plates. Sadly reminded me of turo-turo. Dim sum ok. Sushi and maki is pre-prepped, tempura have been sitting out a while. Indian food is good, cheese and cold cut plates are good. Dessert is sweet (too sweet). Bonus points for Moet. With the vast choices now of buffet, spiral is a splurge for ok food.
Pandemic set up is nice. Plenty selections of food. Still not full capacity so social distancing is observed.
Food wasn't at par to the price of the buffet. Vikings tasted better with value per plate. The roast beef tasted stale and old the tempura shrimp was small and full of flour.
Sofitel, or as it was previously known Westin Philippine Plaza, was the go to place for bay view gardens and amenities-something 4/5 star hotels along Roxas Boulevard couldn't offer, until maybe Conrad and City of Dream came along-although they're elevated amenities.
Sofitel gained massive popularity ten years back when it just got off renovations and as a marketing boosts, was able to ride the tide of group coupons. Everyone was getting it-literally-repeatedly.
For my wife and I, Sofitel offers the best selections for cheese, for the polarity of menus, and the luxury of space-get a taste of a grand banquet area amply spaced u like other mainstream buffet places where people are packed.
We only had cakes and coffee here after our Christmas family lunch. Watched the beautiful sunset before we left.
It's our 1st, and love the experience! It's a buffet beyond palate, it's all senses! Feast for the eyes esp with the gigantic christmas tree and all! The waitress are very much attentive and our wine, champagne lady is doing extra round on us, hahahha! Ps and did i mention their cheese room? ! Aawwww, heaven! Pps would have been extra nice if they had iberico!
Very underwhelming.sad because I heard about this buffet for years. Savory selection was mid. From dry dimsum, tough lamb, spiceless indian food and watery pasta. I get charging for alcohol but they don’t even a basic drink selection unless you pay. Nickle and diming at a high end place is laughable. Most staff were trying their best but were swamped end to end due to having to sanitize the whole multiple times a day.
Absolute saving grace is the dessert section. Most buffet desserts look good but suck big time. These deliver in presentation as well as taste. This and the company I had made the visit bearable
Actually had a 25% for my group thanks to my accor card but even with the discounted rate, whole experience was nothing to write home about. So forgettable I failed to take pictures. Would rather spend around 75% of the bill in a good ala carte place. Maybe I visited this place too late? I don’t know
