The Curator Coffee and Cocktails reviews
63The coffee tasted quite good. The service was both pleasant and quick. I personally like the back room. It has a chill vibe with a variety of books to read if you like.
Impressive find when I ran away from crowded and noisy Starbucks. Champorado latte was fantastic.
Make sure to go through the coffee entrance in order to access the bar. Last call for drinks is 11pm. More busy on fridays and saturdays. Amazing cocktails and friendly bartenders!
Exceptionally friendly service with great guidance on choosing cocktails. There's something for everyone here. They even got me something off the menu when I asked for something very "Filipino" since I'm visiting from NYC.
I can just tell this place is a must go for the coffee snobs.
This is a definitive artisinal coffee shop with all the contraptions.
Psssst you know it’s legit cos they are using a La Marzocco machine!
They weigh; they filter; they cold drip; they slow pour. They even do cocktails in a hidden bar out the back.
On a sunny day prime real estate is the window bench for people watching on trendy Don Carlos Palanca and Legazpi!
Looking for a coffee kickstart? This be the place!
Best place for cocktails. The bartenders known their stuff. Professional, clean, and intuitive drinks.
I always go here if I'm in the mood for a night cap.
Good place to have coffee and meet up with friends.
Coffee is good. Theres a place at the back where the bar is for cocktails. But of course it opens later in the day. They have merchandise as well.
Fresh from a great start at Titotata (also on Carlos Palanca St) my party set out for coffee and cocktails, and reaching The Curator a few minutes away, we were intrigued by its unpretentious façade and homey wooden curbside seating. We were welcomed politely enough by a bespectacled staff at the steps leading to the café-bar, but as soon as we approached the unoccupied front bar stools we were told they were taken so we settled for a corner pair of seating that would separate our foursome into two. A friend also bemoaned the fact that pendant lights were hanging directly from the ceiling above us there. There was a table at the curb that only had two chairs, and we were told they had no other available chairs when in fact one table for four had only one occupant. To see our other options, that same friend and I ventured into an inner parlor that was miles above the vestibule's minimalist décor: dimmer lights, tables for small groups, a private lounge kind of vibe, and a proper bar just right for our group. This was where it got tricky. That same staff told us we couldn't stay there because it was meant for couples and solos. (We were literally 2 couples and/or 4 solos.) Again, we were told no, because they were meant for clients with reservations. After suggesting we'd stay a while for a drink and when our time was up we could move back out front, still no, this time saying they discourage people from switching places within the premises during their visit. Was it just me, or this guy didn't want to accommodate us at all? We headed back out a short walk towards The Coffee Academics instead, and moved on with fantastic brews, hot chocolate, and an espresso-whiskey concoction. The night was young and we surely made up for an earlier bad decision.
Its okay. Nice place. Espresso Martini was good. Hope that can lengthen the time of their coffee shop area.
Good coffee. I also like that the cocktails have non alcoholic options. Happy they're pet friendly rin
Came at opening time and they asked me to come back 30 min later cause they weren’t ready. So decided to go another coffee shop
The place looks amazing and the coffee is good too! Taking a star off due to food pricing that i think is a bit too pricy
The Curator tops it to my list of speakeasy bars in Manila, with amazing super friendly bar staff, authentic well crafted cocktails with a nice nod to local Filipino ingredients, liquor and inspiration references.
When you’re in Makati, definitely check them out!
My friends and I love this place because the drinks are good, the staff are so friendly, & it has a great atmosphere? Drinks are a bit pricey at 500 each, plus service charge which makes them at 550 each. I like their gin drinks a lot and you can also ask the bartenders for their recommendations. They also served us free glasses of egg nog?
Cozy speakeasy hidden behind their cafe on the main street. They have a pretty creative menu that helps you visualise the flavour profile of each drink and also the glasses they will be served in. The menu itself is pretty extensive, but you can request a personalised drink.
Drinks were overall tasty and inexpensive, but the service and ambience are the highlight. Bartenders and waitstaff were entertaining and everyone was having a good time!
I tried their Chocolate Chip cookie and a coffee which I forgot the name. Both are good, not something that you'll crave, but you will surely be satisifed.
If you want a semi private, lowkey, and peaceful place to have some coffee, this is a go-to place.
It is not promised to be a totally quiet place, but it is definitely better than the usual mainstream coffee shops.
I find the noise 'classy'. It's noisy but it does not irritate me since the market they attract are young professionals with a little bit of 'sosyal' background. Therefore, you can hear laughs, convos, that are loud, but not boisterous.

Probably the best black coffee I’ve had while I was in town. I had left to go use the bathroom and they accidentally threw my coffee out, BUT the server came by and apologized and poured me a new cup.
That was awesome =) I had some Legaspi menu item and it was kind of pricey for a few pieces of bread, jam, and butter. I also wished they had provided wifi here, but they done:/
Nonetheless, the shop itself was artsy and comfy.
Came for the honey grilled cheese but was disappointed. It cost 350 and didn't taste like anything special. Not that it tasted bad but I think my expectations were too high.
Would have to give it to the extremely friendly and accommodating staff though! 5/5 to them.
I don't recommend If you don't like dogs. Because dogs are inside and free moving so they may lick your personal thing which on the coffee table like what happened to me
Only giving a 3 star because I find the place a little expensive for the taste of their coffee. Although ambiance is nice and the service crew were friendly. Just the price to the coffee taste doesn't match for me. The cold brew was a little acidic but very fruity.
