The Marketplace reviews
11Small, but have all the necessary goods needed for eating, drinking and other domestic material. Staff are always attentive and friendly. Cool atmosphere. It's been my shopping place for the past three years. During peak shopping hours you may encounter lines at the counter, but the line moves at a decent pace thanks to the staff.
It's a small market but it has the various necessities a traveler or resident needs to cook or clean.
Staff at check out counter busy with own chitchat and not very attentive even during busy hours. Lines are always slow and long. Good for quick pick ups but best to stay away and opt for other locations.
It's nice to have a go-to grocery store when you need something.product selections are okay naman.
Great place in terms of location. Lot of stuff but I believe it can be better with the proper signage of racking.support staff not sufficient or hardly get to help from them. My experience so far is good and self dependent.
The last two times I've been here there's been a large rat running around the floor and under the shelves. The girl standing next to me in the checkout tonight queue screamed in fear when she saw it.
Also, the checkout lines are way too long, especially in the evenings. You spend 5 minutes grabbing a few items off the shelves and then 10 or 15 minutes waiting in line to pay. There are four checkouts but only two of them are staffed.
Come on Rustan's, get the problems in this store sorted out. Clean the place up and get rid of those rats.
They have a lot of items that I haven't seen before in other Marketplace branches, which is surprising considering that this place is smaller compared to other branches (ex. The antipasto in the picture and Godiva chocolates, not pictured).
Don't be overwhelmed by the fact that it is Rustan's, they actually have affordable items here, like their rotisserie. They also have a wider range of cheese, dried fruits, and deli than other supermarkets. This is definitely a heaven for those just starting to appreciate wine and cheese nights.
Quite a wide variety of products to choose from and its excellently located in the heart of the Makati cbd. Lines can get long at times though and the cash register overlaps with the aisles of merchandise which can make your shopping experience a bit uncomfortable.
Yeah, i love how organize the place is, i love their fresh meats, nice crew, fresh veggies, i do like the flower also. Got lot of things to buy, got organic stuffs that you can buy also.
They have a good variety of products. Slightly more expensive but a good substitute to membership groceries.
They have many imported products with a few rare finds - saffron, lentils and such - not really accessible to other groceries.
What makes it great are the ready-to-eat meals. Ranging fro. 100 to 180, their meals are fantastic. A wide variety of healthy options.
Location is great, in the middle of Makati's business district. Parking is not as great though.
To be clear, I'd rate most Rustan's stores 4-5 stars. I don't know why this specific branch has the issues it does.
First, it has a weird odor most of the time. Second, there may also be problems with their storage as I've encountered food items that went bad even before their expiry date. Lastly, it's small so don't expect to much (but they normally have the basic necessities).
I still keep going here since (1) it's the nearest grocery to my office, and (2) the staff is very helpful. Just make sure to check if the refrigerated food items are still good before purchasing.
