Yabu: House of Katsu

Place had good food but took 10 min to leave after my request for bill and Togo box. Other Yabu place was good but this place service is just bad.

We ate here together with my chinese friend who is a chef. I was very excited to eat here coz i heard a lot who says the food is delicious. Honestly, nothing is special as per him and i agree to that. Just very overrated guys. Sorry

A Japanese restaurant specializing in Katsu, which refers to a piece of meat cutlet coated with panko and then deep fried.

I had the Hire Katsu (Pork Tenderloin). All their Katsu sets comes with unlimited Koshikari rice, which perfectly complements the savory combination of the Katsu and the sauces. It's impossible to not have a filling dining experience here.

Yabu provides good customer service by having its staff attentive to the needs of each table that they have a customer. The price of the food is the same as those katsu restaurants in Japan as seen in Youtube.

The food is sooo goood ️ specially the mozzarella stick. It’s our first time to dine with yabu, been hearing good feedback so it made me excited to try it out. My husband’s favorite is green mango shake and so far this is the top 1 for him. Will definitely come back to try the rest ️

I would give 5 stars because the food and service was excellent. However, my food came far enough ahead of my wife's food that I was half finished before she got served. It had happened in many places here in the Philippines. However that is an unacceptable practice for us. We dine together because we enjoy each others company. It tends to ruin the experience when you eat while your wife is waiting.

We loved the food! It’s a little busier when we got there, lots of people trying their food. It was really worth the wait. The staff are friendly. Will definitely come back or recommend it to friends and colleagues.

Really good place to get your katsu fix. Appreciate the limited and specific menu. Place is clean with pro staff. Bit loud when busy and it is always busy. Recommend and would return.

The food is good; the place is excellent. The overall dining experience here was superb. The staff is approachable and kind. This restaurant is highly recommended. My daughter enjoyed eating here.

The place was packed during our visit so we waited about 15 to 20 mins to get a table. But, totally worth it. Food was great! Staff were accommodating and attentive.

It was my first time to dine at Yabu. I really liked that you can have a refill with the cabbage, Miso and rice. I love the food and I will definitely visit again.

I think this place is so overrated. It was my first time here and i ordered the curry katsu.

Ready to be greeted in Japanese as you enter and leave the place by the whole crew. I had the Katsu set. It's very filling, soup cabbage rice and fruits are refillable. Great food, meat is tender and juicy. Multiple sauce can be overwhelming so watch out. Great staff and service. A busy place not for chilling and hanging out for long.

Budget: 400-500 per head
PS: Have to get there early else you'll have to wait LONG to be seated.

It reminded me when i was in Osaka the katsu tasted the same. Best of all it has refillable cabbage veggy rice and miso soup! Will definitely go back

Pros:
-The place feels and looks cozy
-The signature Oyakodon is really worth a try if you don't mind a bit of sweetness but even the normal Rosu is already a treat
-The refills are prepared as if it's the first serving all over again. The rice is perfect, the cabbage is fresh, and the soup still has seaweeds and tofu in them
-Majority of the food attendants are attentive. (I've got to cut them some slack bec the place is really packed)
-The chicken menchi is perfect for kids
-They got brewed iced tea?
-The bill prep is fast
-It does not have its own comfort room but it does not matter because it's beside SM's anyway.

Cons:
-Though i know it can be normal in Japanese restos, i felt that the seats are quite close to each other or I'm just not used to being around people again after pandemic

If you are planning to go here, park at the North parking bldg. maps' estimated walking distance is not correct which states that it's faster to reach on foot from South parking bldg. Posting this here just in case you are planning to date your elderlies here.

Not a fan of katsu but this is different! I always see this tas dinadaandaanan ko lang since experience ko with other resto with katsu matigas tas makapal breading. Good thing I gave it a try! Babalik balikan!

Health protocols were at place. Their employees clearly know what to do and are confident. Even the little things, assisting where to step, and what to do. Their prices have gone up, understandable, but the quality is still the same. No issues.
