Its a most amazing, beautiful place. One of a kind. It however needs more personal attention to service, to match its grandeur. Most staff went out of their way to please us; from the housekeeper to the life guard, to the tram driver, to the restaurant server. I have other small observations which I will address later. However, the biggest dissapointment was that we had an intruder at 4am in the morning. We reported to the security (2 of them on a motorbike each) who said they will report to the supervisor and let us know. Its 2 days away from the incidence and we are still waiting! THIS SHOULD NOT BE ACCEPTABLE.

Had so much fun when I visited! The architecture and houses were so beautiful and there were so many well laid out structures to explore. It was also a plus to have beachfront access. All the staff were also so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I recommend catching the walking tours as they were very informative. Though the food options were limited, what they had available tasted amazing!

If you are interested in history, then this place is for you. Though the day tour is kinda expensive for about 2,500 php

The minute we arrived just beside the parking lot and in front of welcome ark its overlooking the houses inside.nasabi ko.kaya pala ang mahal. I can say sulit ang binayad mo.sa day tour, kalesa and tram rides and the best sa lahat ay yun balsa ride.

Dec 2020 STAY: We stayed at rooms. 1101-1102 w/c I think the worst of all rooms cause they're at the end, there were no hooks, no clothesline ANYWHERE in the room to hang your towels or soiled bathing clothes. We opted to just hang them in the bathtub. The room floor was filth & I'd scream everytime my 1yr old baby attempted to step on them. No carpets, no doormats. Aircon was noisy & looked unrepaired. Check in is 3pm & we're given the keys at 2: 30pm & upon room entry it was NOT cleaned, soiled towels & blankets were still present & we had to call again to follow up. It was so obvious they had bad maintenance of the accomodation. We stayed here last April 2017 at a diff room & they were still clean before, so we know the difference.

The only thing that compensated the bad stay at the rooms was the beach and the overall look of the place. If you're after a vintage feel & Spanish colonization era, then you'd be overly satisfied. The whole place looks even majestic at night when all the lights of the casas are turned on. This resort is for relaxation & peaceful walks, as me and my baby did at night. Two restaurants were present, one Filipino cuisine & the other is Italian (which is weird cause it should have been Spanish cuisine, right?) On our 2017 stay, the dining was setup outside w/ violins playing. In Dec 2020, since it's also raining, it was inside & the violins playing were still present. Food is delicious but beverages are very pricey with Coke at P175 each & an Iced Cappucino at P380. It's ok to bring your own snacks & food cause they also didn't check our luggages. Parking is very far away so you have to bring everything out. There's also a free tour scheduled every hour & you'll be fascinated w/ the history of the houses & the furniture in them. Though in our 2020 stay, it's raining so we didn't have the chance to do the tour again. A tram & jeepneys are driving by to drop you around. Though during lunchtime, 3 jeeps refused to drive us up to our rooms & it took 30-40mins.before the 4th jeep agreed. We had a baby with us & it's raining so it was disheartening to wait for that long.

I think 17k for a night (2020) was overpriced (even if that's already a discounted rate) because of the bad maintenance of the rooms. No room service cleaning during our stay, I don't know if it's because they want reduced contact of their staff w/ the guests. Breakfast buffet was ok but it could've been better if there were servers so people won't get to touch the serving spoons. Toilets were clean in restaurants & complete w/ bidet & tissue.

I wanted to give a perfect rating but there's really a lot to improve. For the price that ranges between 8-10k for a deluxe room for 2, my expectation was really high. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I just hope they'll maintain the resort facilities well so that the guests would feel it's worth the price. I'm sharing the pros and cons:

PROS:
-free jeepney ride to take you around the resort.
-very friendly staff. We had a problem with our booking. It didnt reflect in their system but upon showing them my proof of payment, she allowed us to be checked-in even if it's quite late in the evening. At the restaurant, they will initiate to take your photo even if you dont ask them which was very nice.
-the heritage houses are really beautiful inside and out. Kudos to the artists!
-room comes with a bathtub.
-the bed's hugeeee! It can fit 4 people but only 2 people are allowed.
-they are not strict with the checkout time. Our checkout time was supposed to be 12nn but we're allowed to stay until 2pm in the room. Then we took the heritage tour at 2: 30pm and stayed until sunset?

CONS:
-food's very expensive. They're delicious but not worth the price. Imagine 600-700PHP per head for a single dish. If you can sneak in outside food, you'll save a lot. Planning of going outside to eat? Sadly, they have a one entry policy so once you leave the resort premises, you cant go back unless you'll book again.
-there aren't any store open between 10PM-11AM during weekdays. Although there's a breakfast buffet between 6-9AM, if you got thirsty between 9-11AM, you might die of dehydration so please bring lots of water. Or at least bring a water tumbler so you can fill it in the buffet. Ohhh! Not to mention the 60PHP price for a small bottle of mineral water. Ughhh! Everything's overpriced.
-pool water and river looks filthy. The pool water's green and there's a foul smell around the area. Smells like poop.
-the vinegar in the breakfast buffet has a fly in it.
-there's wifi but no internet connection. It would be okay if the mobile data's strong but it's not.

Overall, the ambiance of the place was relaxing. We had beautiful spectacular sights to see, cultural shows that were entertaining, house tours that were informative and historical, fun filled carabao parade and palo sebo activities, very generous breakfast buffets, enjoyable inflatable ala “Ninja Warrior” course at the beach and friendly staff. I would definitely go back in the future. The only thing I would recommend is to make sure that receptionists in the check-in counter should have eye contact with guests and improve check in queuing procedures by accommodating guests on a first come first served basis. Checking in of guests in the reception area will give a lasting impression on guests.so it has to be pleasing. Receptionists have to be warm, friendly and offer welcoming smiles with eye contact. Regarding our room, I noticed a canal like foul smelling odor in room 2111. The smell subsided after 2 cleaning requests. Overall, it was worth it. We enjoyed our stay and I am looking forward to my next visit.

From check-in at reception, tours, dining, rides, activities and check out all staff were friendly and accommodating. Making sure we are well taken care of. There was an issue with the air conditioner in the original room we were assigned. The maintenance & reception teams made sure we get a new room right away and made our transfer as seamless as possible. So thankful to Mr. Azucar for creating and developing this place. It is so full of history and such a great showcase for great Filipino craftsmanship and artistry. It’s like we travelled to a different place in time. We especially like the Balsa night cruise, Hotel Oriente viewing and breakfast at Cafe Binan.

This place is everything what I hoped for and it is still in continuous development. The amount of hardwork, creativity, passion and artistry can be seen in every corner of this place. We booked an overnight stay in a Family Suite (Accesoria 13), Sunday-Monday. The room is really big and clean. Makes you feel you traveled back in time. Most of the people come for Day Tour, and they leave in the afternoon. We also tried the inflatable island, which we enjoyed very much (Thanks so Kuya Sam who is very patient with us). The walking Heritage Tour is fun and filled with historical information (or chistory - "chismis noon, history ngayon"). Kuya Mark did a great job and also, kudos to the theatre group who performed a small skit for us (great voices and huge talent). The staff and crew are very accomodating and approachable. Even the jeepney drivers who were hired to go around the lot is helpful and cheerful. This is a must visit place and a highly recommended for me. This is a good place for family and friends as well.

Our room had a good view but had furnishings that were badly scratched, some part of the wall paper removed, bed stand lights missing, stains on the comforter and shower arm that’s already loose from the wall. Room service was slow but maybe because it was peak time too. Other than the room everything else is instagram worthy.

WE CHECKED IN AROUND 3PM. IVE BEEN HERE ABOUT 5 TIMES AND STAYED OVERNIGHT ALL THE TIME WHENEVER I STAY HERE. THIS TIME, THE RECEPTION LADY TOLD US THAT THE CHECK IN IS NOW ALREADY 3PM, WELL, IT'S NOT WORTH THE PRICE ANYMORE, I TOLD THE RECEPTION LADY TO SHOW US THE CHECK IN INFO IN THE WEBSITE OF LAS CASAS. BUT THEY CANT FIND IT. THEY TOLD US THAT IT WAS IN THE VOUCHER/CONFIRMATION. I SAY THAT, IT SHOULDNT BE THERE BECAUSE IN THE FIRST PLACE, THE CUSTOMER SHOULD BE INFORMED FIRRST IN THE SITE AND NOT IN THE VOUCHER WHEN IT IS ALREADY PAID. / SECOND: THE BUSSES ARE TOO DANGEROUS AND DISTURBING BACK AND FORTH

The beach is not white sand, but its fine and clean. They also have inflatables, jetski, kayak, and B boat. The heritage is also nice, water is expensive though P60 per bottle. The hotel is cozy but not cold enough since the walls are made of wood also it some parts it smell like wet wood. But overall its a nice stay if you want peace and quiet.

The place is nice and spacious. The room is big and the bathroom is almost as big. There's no hot water available, the service is not good, when we called to their housekeeping, the things we asked to get checked out on our room just has no resolution.

1. The aircon is hot during the afternoon, it's basically a fan with no cold air, actually the person who cleaned the room called the housekeeping because he himself found the room to be so hot but no one bothered to come up to check and we got fed up with it.
2. The safety deposit box is not working, the person who checked said someone will come up to replace the batteries and we follow up on their housekeeping, but no one came up to do that.
3. The pillows we requested several times actually came the day after.
4. Ref is not cooling.

For the amount of money I paid to stay at this place, I would say the place is overpriced. The staff are not trained to handle the guests. The bathroom is not very clean.

The place is nice, the whole place is huge and it looks great but the activities and restaurants are so pricey. And frankly when I stay at hotel, service is one of the key points and they just failed to impress me at all, they barely do the minimum which is so disappointing.

For the price that my family paid, I was expecting an above par service, but I was completely wrong. Our room had no blow dryer. I called the reception and requested for one. I was promised that one will be delivered to our room but that never happened. The bathroom was tolerable but it could have improved. The worst of all was our experience with La Bella Teodora restaurant. We ate dinner here twice (April 18 and 19,2019) since it was the nearest restaurant from our accommodation. The food was good but the SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY INADEQUATE AND DISAPPOINTING. Twice, we were not served the complimentary basket of bread. We had to call the waiters several times to ask for it. Hence, the second time we were there, we just decided to forego of the free bread instead stressing out ourselves. It took us 20 minutes before a waiter took our order. Another 30 to 40 minutes to get our food. And another 30 minutes for the bill. EXASPERATING. Common - the food is so expensive, not to mention the 10% service charge, for an utterly disappointing and frustrating services of your employees. I expected more from Las Casas. Also, the second time we were at La Bella, our pizza was not served until we complained about it and had to really raise our voices. Imagine, the tables around us, which by the way ordered way after we did, received their pizzas while we waited in vain for ours. We had to call the attention of your people before our pizza was served. And guess what! OUR PIZZA WAS SERVED COLD - AS COLD AS A CORPSE. Galing di ba? I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO LAS CASAS, NEITHER RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS.

We had an amazing stay in this resort. The best staycation I have had so far for this year. I love the views, the food, the beach! Kudos to all the staff for making our stay worthwhile.

The place was great and nostalgic. Although food was very expensive and it doesnt taste any good. For food to be priced like that i exoected more. Its the worst food i have ever tasted for a place like that. The rooms look great but the aircon in our room was not cold so they had to give us an electric fan.

It was our first time at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. We chose the place for this year’s Holy Week getaway. We were booked April 17-20,2019. We were so amazed with the place when we arrived. We could not help but took pictures even when we were still checking-in. But not until our first night did we realize that the place only had nice facades but the facilities were so disappointing.

We were in room 203, studio with loft at Paseo de Escolta. There were 2 split type aircons but it was not at all cold. 3 maintenance staff came to check but they were not able to fix it until we checked-out.

The water in the shower was so slow and the lever for the shower snaps all the time. We had to hold the lever while taking a bath.

We had to request everyday for a bathroom rug because they do not replace it. Amenities such as hand towel and face towel were not provided.

Towels in the pool and beach area were so scarce. In our 3 days stay never were we able to use any beach towel because there were always none available.

They posted their Lenten schedule which included buffet dinner by the beach on Holy Thursday and merienda cena at Casa Luna on Good Friday but neither one pushed through. When we inquired from the staff at Casa Lubao they were not even aware there was such schedule. We told them it was in the schedule they posted just outside Casa Lubao.

It seems that the place’s priority is maintaining the façade for good picture taking but the facilities in the rooms are poorly maintained. There was a lot who were complaining about the aircon when we were checking out. Not to mention that the room rates are higher compared to other resorts with better facilities.

We learned that the place has the same owner with San Jose Builders. It made us wonder how can one be interested in buying their condominiums when the facilities of the rooms in Las Casas are so sub-standard. In fact when we were having dinner in their Spanish resto our table was next to the table of the owner of Las Casas, Gerry Acuzar. We were so tempted to approach him and tell him our complaints in the hope that it will be taken action especially the issue on our room’s aircon. It was so hot outside and when you enter your room you can hardly feel that there was aircon. But he was with visitors so we did not approach him anymore.

As a whole, the place can only be recommended for a day tour not for checking-in.p. S. I also just want to share my experience on my booking. As early as January 7, I booked online on your website a studio room with loft. In fact I paid for the room in full in your Manila office. Few days before our booking date I reconfirmed our booking just to be told that we were transferred to a big superior room beachfront. It was Faye from reservations that I was in contact from the very start. At first I requested for a studio with loft on the ground floor because we will be with my dad who is a senior. She called me and told me that the rooms with loft are located on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator. I told her it’s okay my dad can go up 1 floor using the stairs. I got so furious when she told me she took it upon her to transfer us because of my senior dad. She even told me she emailed me about it. I did not get any email from her so I asked her the date on when she sent me the email and to resend the email to me to which she said it was already deleted. How can one delete such an important communication. I insisted for the room I booked. It took her almost 2 days to get back to me to confirm.

Everybody was so nice and the place is just amazing!

My kids' favorites were the chicken tenders from Cafe Marivent and the risotto of La Bella Teodora.

I enjoyed the heritage tour/walk and our tour guide was very entertaining (John Patrick).

The balsa river cruise was fun, too.

The only thing I had a problem with is the cable TV. Better reception would be greatly appreciated.

Nonetheless, my family really enjoyed our stay!
