Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Manila/At Mall of Asia

The a/c didn’t get cool even at the lowest temperature and was leaking, the Wi-Fi wasn’t working, the walls were thin and we could hear our neighbors, the shower head was faulty, and the liquid soap dispenser barely had any soap. The location is good though.

They don't understand the meaning of stranded passengers as the management only knows that a stranded passenger are the ones with flight tickets and are awaiting their flights? !? !?

Absolutely rubbish Hotel, if you are on a business trip and you depend on wifi, please save yourself and do not come here. Obviously the owner or whoever controls the wifi is clearly incompetent and doesn’t understand that the vast majority of today’s society heavily rely on the use of wifi. In addition, the place is severely outdated and is in need to an update elevators are slow and unreliable, bathrooms are old and amenities are lacking considering that we have a 2 bedroom, we only amenities that accomodate 1 person. And if you enjoy peace and quiet don’t come here, there is a festival outside with ride and all you can hear is the screams from people riding the rides.

Overall, my stay so far has been by far the worse I’ve ever had, would never come here again. And to the owners, give up the hotel is abysmal compared to your competitors in the Conrad hotel.

Very loud neighbors, noise came from everywhere, it was like paperwalls. We didn’t get to have enough sleep because of that. We requested for a room on a high and quiet floor but they gave us the exact opposite.

Not worth for recommendation. The staffs and managent are very lousy. They discriminate function guests. They asked the band to use the employees entrance.

Grumpy and not very polite staff.a lot of noise in the hallway at night and the non-stop sound of the elevator didnt really help either for a calm sleep.ask for a room at the end of the corridor farcaway of the elevator! The hotel offers no later checkout service which is crap when you have a early in the evening flight.

The WORST customer service of any hotel I've stayed at in any country. The location may be good but if you encounter hotel workers who do not care about their guests, then I don't know why they are in the hospitality business.

I booked a room quite recently and unfortunately my flight to Manila was delayed so I arrived in the hotel a little over midnight. The hotel had a very limited parking space so the guard at the entrance of the hotel informed me that I can park in a nearby establishment which was fine with me. But, since I was planning to first freshen up and go out for dinner before resting for the night, I asked the security guard if I can for the meantime park my pick-up truck near the exit for few minutes first. The guard said yes. So, I parked my truck and when I was about to get off one security personnel wearing barong-style shirt approached me and told me to leave because it's not allowed to park there. I explained my situation and that it was already approved by the other security guard but still he said no. I told him I will just unload my 2 big luggage and other things and will be back after few minutes only, and still he said no. I asked him if I can just pay PHP 1,000 for few minutes of parking because I cannot walk with all my things from a nearby parking lot (a bit of a walk actually) and to my dismay he still said no. It was past midnight, my pick-up truck was not blocking the driveway, and I'm a guest in the hotel - and still, he said NO.

It was the most disgusting feeling I ever experienced in any hotel I've ever stayed at. And yes, I've been traveling globally for quite some time now and I've had my fair share of good experiences.this one, in my humble opinion, is an unforgettable one.

When I told the receptionist about it, he apologized which I appreciated and he gave me his assurance that it will not happen again. But then again, I don't think I will ever stay in this hotel again.

The only good thing I liked about this hotel - When I checked out, the girl named Sweden was very friendly and accommodating.

At the time of writing (21 Sep 2022), there was only 1 elevator for the passengers, so we had to queue up to get to our turn. The other 2 of the elevators were “exclusive”

We came in as a walk in customer and was told that there were no rooms available.
Upon hearing that from the reception, we tried Agoda and was able to book.
We showed the online booking to the same reception guy and was told it must have been a mistake by Agoda.
I replied that there might be a customer that cancelled hence the booking.
Reception agreed to double check and we were able to get a room at 11/F.

Poor customer service. No refunds given. Caution, book at own risk. Stayed here out of necessity in March while evacuating back to USA (hotels full). Room and accommodations are very dated, food sub par, no customer service. Will not stay here again, will sleep in airport first.

For the location and the price of the hotel it is definitely low quality for the $151 per night fee. There are very few positives about our experience here and will likely avoid this hotel because of the high price and low quality. We've stayed in hotels for less with a better experience.

1st Impression:
- The outside of the hotel and the lobby is really nice and makes it appear high class.
- When we went to our room on the 5th floor, the air itself was warm and smelled strange as if there was no air conditioning in the hallways (which there isn't).
- Upon entering our room, I was shocked by the hospital like feel and smell. I honestly wondered if it was once a nursing home or hospital since there were metal rails on both sides of the toilet. The walls were different colors and appeared as if it had been painted over multiple times. The room did not look extremely clean. I checked the sheets and there were a few stains and an obvious stain they could not remove from previous use. (I did smell it to make sure it was freshly washed.)
- We were told that our luggage would be sent up to our room but after 20 mins of waiting and feeling the need to unpack and shower after hours on a plane, we went downstairs and got the luggage ourselves. The staff clearly saw us and stood and stared.

Overall Impression:
Positives:
- Our view was really nice and the air conditioner worked quickly to cool our room.
-Housekeeping was very prompt about providing us with requested items but they can be slow with answering the phone. After calling Housekeeping and getting no response, I had to hang up and call the front office. After a couple of rings they responded and relayed my message.
- Free shuttle to the SM Mall
- The location is super convenient to restaurants and stores you may want to go to.

Negatives:
-The breakfast buffet was okay but definitely not great. Some of the food was not fully cooked like the beans and their french toast was hard (if that's even possible) with no syrup available for it.
-There are very few channels available on TV and what is on is a segment that reloops every 30 minutes. I've never seen this before in a hotel.
-Holy hell the walls are thin and even more so the conjoining doors to the next hotel room. I was woken up at 7 am by someone next door who decided to have morning sex. I had to blast the TV on to drown out the noise.
- My mother and sister were in one room while my bf and I were in another. We had to extend our stay by a few hours since our flight wasn't until 11 pm. At 11: 35 am we were given a courtesy call that we had to check out at 12 pm. We didn't realize my mother had extended it for her room only so we quickly dragged our things to her room in order to "check out" in time. After being in her room for maybe 20 minutes we get a knock on our door from the housekeeper who was asking us about 2 missing hangers from our room. What. I know housekeeping is only doing their job but how cheap must the hotel be to count the hangers and knock on the door about it? We didn't and wouldn't steal a hotel hanger. Especially when we're still technically in the hotel for a couple more hours.

Really outdated furnitures in room compare to others in today’s modern standard. The room i stayed in is very dusty. The upside is that it is near to SM MOA so it is convient. Overall, looks good outside, very good location but disappointing in the insides.

Cleanliness in the bathroom should be improved. Aircon in the room is a bit noisy. Location is good.

Good location. Walking distance to Mall of Asia where you can find food and do shopping. Room is very basic. We only stayed one night so it was okay. The check in and check out process is very slow. A lot of manual paperwork.

Good location, just nearby the beach. Breakfast is abit poor choice. Room is clean. Laundry service is taking too long to return. View to the sea very nice, especially sunset time.

Very convenient for concert goers. Check in and check out was easy and the staff are professional. For some reason, cellphone signal is incredibly weak, even beside the windows - it was necessary to physically get out of the hotel to get a decent signal.

They have the slowest free internet for an expensive hotel. They are also offering premium internet for a price. Sometimes you will wonder if they intentionally slows down the free wifi to force you to buy their premium internet. What a business!

The place is nice and beautiful in the facilities are nice but really that helped is outstanding the service they provide here is as good as you would find in dubai or manhattan or san francisco

I like the place but when we checked out, we were charged because of oil stain. We should not be charge i believe because in any way they will wash the cover after we leave.so so sad.
