Cagayan De Oro Polymedic Medical Plaza reviews
35Long queueing of HMO approval. Hotline number posted in their FB page does not respond to inquiries.
Speaking from personal experience. This place combines medical malpractice with extortion. Incompetent extortionist mafia of locust doctors. Avoid if you value your life and wallet. They almost killed my son. A shame on the medical profession. Are there no facility audits or license reviews in the Philippines or is the control instance corrupt as well? I shudder at the number of people who've met a premature death at the hands of these soulless "doctors".
My family and i went there for covid pcr. Service is not satisfying:
1 there signage mentioned 0800-12noon but the swaber came only 0830am and informed they cant do swabbing before 0830
- same as with the collection of result, signage mentioned of result availability after lunch if swab collected early but end up collecting 5pm
2 counter in charge was always on the phone despite us asking for details on the process, took time for her to respond
3 swabber don‘t know the process of who to approach to verify result
4 contact number pasted on their counters are all faded and clerk doesnt even know want to take responsibility
5 plethora of info to fill up but all in redunduncy and when ask to email the result, no options for collection or for email
To note: this is a private hospital in the PHILIPPINES. I was expecting high standards for a private hospital but no, it was a disappointment.
A lot of things need to be improved with this hospital esp how Emergency cases are handled, you have to employ additional personnel the Emergency triage guy is also acting as the Frontdesk all inquiries were thrown at him poor guy!
And availability of doctors for ultrasound ugh both velez and kauswagan are and unfriendly ones. Imagine pinabayad ka tapos wala naman pla doctor even alternate wala.
Had my urinalysis pero had incorrect personal info, i have them recheck if its really mine sigh.
Polymedic Admission Experience
>Waiting area before you can actually enter the hospital is untidy and too hot
>Arrived at the hospital 12: 30, now it’s 04: 30PM and still now admitted. I had an open wound and had to wait in the lobby where there’s a lot of fly. I mean, how can a hospital have so many fly and no proper waiting area for patients who are waiting to be admitted
>Staff - No friendly, even asked for wheelchair and even had to wait for a while, was forced to walk even though I can barely walk
>Overall - poor experience
My mom underwent a procedure here and she had one of the worst stays here. Plenty of other better hospitals in the city.

My 8month old baby is admitted here and NO doctor has come to check up on her since 48 hours. No one knows what's wrong and the diagnosis appears To be an Assumption.
Jesus Christ I feel I have a Zombie Doctors here. I will be raising a complaint with the medical Board in the provincial for this establishment
Worst hospital ive ever been to. Everything was slow. My 18 month old son was admitted here for 3 days and 3 days we experienced really bad service - from slow admission, slow room transfer, to slow processing of bills.
Deal breaker for me was the dirty semi private room that we got. The drawers were not cleaned and the bathroom made me want to puke every time we have to use it. It was so dirty like was not cleaned for a year.
Also, the nurses cant follow medicine schedule. My sons paracetamol was administered 1.5 hrs late, then one time, i needed to go to the nurse station to inform them that the IV ran out! Thats only when they changed it with a new one. Goodness.
I went down for severe stomach problems. They do triage, but no questions about what treatments I've tried recently. They give us in essence Pepto bismuth and anti diarrhetic meds. And a list of oral medications without attempting to get my vomiting under control first. Heck, we never even stepped inside the hospital. Well I continued to vomit up the medicine and went to a second hospital that did things right to give me the opportunity to warn you, go elsewhere. I gave it a second star because at least the air conditioning worked.
Mediocre approach for taking care of our baby after my wife's delivery. Antibiotic was given and stuff did not check regularly state of baby's antibiotic injection point. As a result, baby was released with wound as shown on picture. Hospital place looks decent but staff attention to patient could be improved.
If there is understaff, management should employ more people.
I have no complaints regarding their facilities. It is great. The hospital is clean and comfortable for their client. My complaint i regarding their pay parking. They used to have a free parking which was muddy but that was ok. Compared to their pay parking with absurd Rules. It is stated that "first 59 minutes is free" but when you park beyond 59 minutes you pay 1 hr. No sense of making the first 59mins free. If you'll pay 1 hr for the extra minute.plus if you are parked 62minutes, you pay 2hrs worth. With the number of patients they have, how can you expect clients not to exceed that 59mins?
Patient has to undergo triage check before admittance, waiting time before being accepted to emergency room is 30mims to 45mins for OPD check up.
Wasten segregation in place is practice. Have an elevator dedicated for patient.
Some rooms are not properly maintained such as no light at CR inside patient room. No remote control provided for tv set and cabinet drawers not in good condition.
The hospital is generally crowded during office hours.
I like the hospital very Good doctors and a very accommodating nurses but its quiete expensive.only i complain about private room isn't so clean and the foods for patent. The pasente is complaining
The room we got was spacious, we're able to place two single mats on the floor where we could sleep. There is also a bench with foam for the watcher. The room has an automatic lock feature. Nurses knock first before opening door and they are courteous. Food for the patient were not delivered always, para sa watcher lang, so we had to follow up at the nurses station. The hallways are spacious.
I have no complaints about the place, the rooms that they offer, or the medical care that they provide. However, when I asked for a detailed partial bill just so I could check on the list of medicine and supplies billed to us, they could not give it and instead told me to just wait for the final bill because it would be a detailed one. I am dissatisfied with that because in another hospital that our patient had been to, we were able to get a detailed partial bill in less than a minute (no questions asked, they readily gave it).
The traffic along the access road to the entrance can get quite busy at times, which is made worse by motorcycles parking on the left side of the road. Also noticed that sometimes taxi drivers waiting at the taxi stand nearby are smoking - surprising, considering that the hospital is just a short walk away.
Otherwise, the hospital itself is generally clean and well-maintained, though the signage could be improved upon, as it can be confusing finding one's way around.
I loved how the seating is spread out on each floor of the building; Helps the patient's family rest.
They intuitively operate the drink vending machines which I thought was cool too.
I'm sorry to say this but the only thing I don't like is the price of the drinks which was way too expensive for me.
This is one of the best hospitals in CDO in terms of medical facility and equipment. Wide and clean. However, that paid parking, so narrow is such a minus to what they could offer.
We stayed for 9 days in the hospital. Its glory days have started to wane. The rooms started to show some age, cleanliness standards have gone low. The support facilities are improving by adding new equipment. Annoying is their public address speakers that are a bit too loud. Its like theyre always screaming at every five minutes for an orderly to come running to the stations.even at past midnight. But the doctors here are brilliant and caring.
