Bag of Beans, Twin Lakes

Great view for their new branch. Air-conditioned room and has alfresco seats as well. Alfresco area will give you a great view of Taal Lake.
Parking here is always a challenge.
Toilet is half open.
Prawn Thermidor isn't that great and too expensive for the size.
Bistek Tagalog is really good.

I like Bag of Beans but the problem with them is the consistency of how food are cooked. Most of the food that we order we didn't like. The pastas, beef steaks, fish and chips etc. Hopefully they get to improve and be consistent.

At Bag of Beans, their delicious meals, assortment of desserts and beverages are just enough to easily have favorites.
Their Caesar Salad is a huge bowl great for 3 to 4 pax. Fresh varieties of lettuce and the delicious salad dressing make it a must-try.
Hubby's favorite is their Homemade Pork Tocino. And my personal choice is the Chicken Kiev. Oh so good that they are tender, flavorful and often leaves us planning for another visit to Bag of Beans.
The view of Taal and the cold climate makes coffee drinking just about right.
Don't forget to bring home some of their fresh breads (Raisin Bread, Pan de Coco, etc.) that are all good.
The only reason i only give Bag of Beans 4 Stars is their quite steep prices for their Entrees'.
Considering all the factors: ambience, design, taste, amount of serving, etc, it is reasonable to say that their prices are just right.
But for us, a visit to Bag of Beans is an experience that can only happen once in a blue moon.

Price is "bag of beans" price. Place is sort of clean and staff are friendly. My only concern is for some reason the place feels disorganized.

Their Filipino breakfast plates are generous servings but personally for me lacks flavor. They are probably great for people who are going for more healthy versions of our longanizas, tocino, beef steak. I think adobo was the tastiest.
Service and ambiance is good.

Amazing coffee, attentive staff, great cheesecake. The view of the lakes and volcanoes are amazing. I highly recommend you stop by.

Great stop during a Tagaytay trip to enjoy BoB's food. Tried Crispy Pata (with their achara & dip) and other offerings in their menu ie. Pasta, chicken, adobo, etc. A stroll around Twin Lakes was an added bonus to relax & enjoy Tagaytay's cool fresh air.

Ok, so this is my 2nd night in the Philippines and this is my 1st AND LAST TIME coming to this restaurant. I'll get straight to it. I ordered garlic shrimp scampi and it was GOD AWFUL! It taste like an old spoiled frozen meat. I practically had a throw up reaction from eating 1shrimp. DO NOT ORDER THIS MEAL. IT IS AWFUL AND IT COULD POSSIBLY MAKE YOU SICK! I wont be surprised, if I end up throwing up later on. Bad first impression for someone traveling 16 hrs to this location. I don't recommend this place. The coffee was okay, nothing special. Go to la crepe, I think thats a better choice.

I just can't bring myself to sleep after remembering how disapponted I was after visiting Bag of beans Twin Lakes to celebrate my friend's birthday. It wasn't my first time there and I decided to bring my friend and her family because if for the ambiance, I'm sure they will enjoy it.but I was damn wrong.

We've entered the place around 4pm and no one greeted us from our entrance usually there's at least 1 to accommodate you.my friend headed inside to look for the view at the terrace, I ask one of the waiter if we can have our seat at the terrace and he answered it was okay but mind the sunrays, I then ask if we can take seat downstairs, he proposed the table for 4 at the corner knowing there were 6 of us (I mentioned him that). I was surprised finding ourselves putting 2more chairs without their help so I thought it was okay they must be soooo busy. The place wasnt crowded so I wonder what made their hands full.

Upon having our seats, we've waited someone to at least give us menus, ask our orders.assists us but no one came to attend us. I've waived the person at the counter, there were waiters standing in there.they gazed their eyes on us but no signs of getting ready to assits us. We've waited a little longer, the waiter who nod at my sign was there still doing nothing, or so how it seems to me.

And then a group of people who have the oh-so-very goodlooking outfits arrived! Trust me, I was standing on the doorway from the room to the terrace and the waiter just walk past me, he was holding a menu on his hand and in a little bit haste assisting the newly arrived group.ready to assists them. Tell me how I should react on that!

I wanted to have a word with one of them if only not for my friend's father who suggested we try Hap Chan instead. We are not welcome anyway.

So poor management, I wanted to talked to give them advise they must have training for their customer service.or they should put a signboard from the entrance that says customers are being selected. Such a bad experience.

Went there for the raisin bread and coffee and they did not disappoint. They also offer an "unlimited" refills option for the coffee.

I ate there with my cousin and friends last Friday. The food was ok (honestly there are better Baby back ribs in Cebu), but one thing I didn't like was the service. Why?

1. I was still eating but the staff were already halfway finished cleaning our table. It's like they're telling me to hurry up (it's not my fault your baby back ribs were hard to chew).

2. My friend was trying to call the staff but it's like they're avoiding eye contact and pretending not to see my friend.

3. We requested the bill 4x because the staff just says they'll get it the bill never arrived. Just when we were about to go irate (4th time) did the bill come.

I would not probably go back here.

Great view of Taal volcano, good food and coffee, great raisin bread perfect for bringing home, friendly staff, quick service!
