Bag of Beans, Twin Lakes

We were served used condiments esp the calamansi fruits. They ran out of calamansi and served used ones to unsuspecting customers. Food price is already overpriced plus this awful experience of ours. Gone are the days of excellent customer service.

Food is horrible. Their pancake is drier than Arizona desert. 2 out of the 3 pancakes were burnt and they tried hiding them underneath the not so burnt one. Mcdonald's pancakes are way better than what they have.

And the one thing that's really upsetting is that their famous shepherd's pie is microwaved! That's the restaurant's signature pie and they serve it microwaved! These guys don't care about quality anymore. They don't have passion for food!

1st time i ate here, me and my wife were the only customers. It took them 45mins to serve my order which was hungarian sausage. Not to mention serving me soup which i did not order. 2nd time i ate here, service was a bit faster but still not comparable to the other branches like charito's or the one near the church. This branch failed in so many levels. Not eating here again.

The staff seated us at a table that apparently was supposed to be occupied by a group that was looking at the lake at their balcony, and then blamed us for this mistake, saying we were the ones that claimed to be part of the group that was outside (which we did not). Mistakes are fine by all means, but blaming us for it when all we did was enter and follow the staff to the table is not okay. Not the worst experience, but unpleasant enough to put my family and I in a bit of a bad mood.

I ordered the shrimp pasta and naturally I expected to actually get shrimp. All they gave me was 5 or more shrimp tails and like 2 heads.

Very poor service. Servers and Receptionist do not smile. Customers in different tables are raising their hand but they tend to ignore. And when they go to you, it felt like they don't want to work or napipilitan lang. I ask for the manager, and they said it's on a meeting (or maybe hiding) which is a no-no for a restaurant like this. The manager should always be present on the floor, especially on peak hours. Very disappointing. I suggest your staff to undergo proper customer service and common sense. If not with the food we will not come back here.

The only good thing about this place is the ambience. We ordered their Meatloaf and Spicy Spicy Laing with Bangus Belly, the meatloaf is too salty, the laing and bangus are tasteless. Laing contains mostly the coconut milk and not even spicy. Their mango juice is too sweet, it's so obvious that they just added sugar to make it sweeter. So far, the worst food experience we had in tagaytay is in this BOB branch. Save your time and money, don't eat here.

I just can't bring myself to sleep after remembering how disapponted I was after visiting Bag of beans Twin Lakes to celebrate my friend's birthday. It wasn't my first time there and I decided to bring my friend and her family because if for the ambiance, I'm sure they will enjoy it.but I was damn wrong.

We've entered the place around 4pm and no one greeted us from our entrance usually there's at least 1 to accommodate you.my friend headed inside to look for the view at the terrace, I ask one of the waiter if we can have our seat at the terrace and he answered it was okay but mind the sunrays, I then ask if we can take seat downstairs, he proposed the table for 4 at the corner knowing there were 6 of us (I mentioned him that). I was surprised finding ourselves putting 2more chairs without their help so I thought it was okay they must be soooo busy. The place wasnt crowded so I wonder what made their hands full.

Upon having our seats, we've waited someone to at least give us menus, ask our orders.assists us but no one came to attend us. I've waived the person at the counter, there were waiters standing in there.they gazed their eyes on us but no signs of getting ready to assits us. We've waited a little longer, the waiter who nod at my sign was there still doing nothing, or so how it seems to me.

And then a group of people who have the oh-so-very goodlooking outfits arrived! Trust me, I was standing on the doorway from the room to the terrace and the waiter just walk past me, he was holding a menu on his hand and in a little bit haste assisting the newly arrived group.ready to assists them. Tell me how I should react on that!

I wanted to have a word with one of them if only not for my friend's father who suggested we try Hap Chan instead. We are not welcome anyway.

So poor management, I wanted to talked to give them advise they must have training for their customer service.or they should put a signboard from the entrance that says customers are being selected. Such a bad experience.

I like Bag of Beans but the problem with them is the consistency of how food are cooked. Most of the food that we order we didn't like. The pastas, beef steaks, fish and chips etc. Hopefully they get to improve and be consistent.

Ok, so this is my 2nd night in the Philippines and this is my 1st AND LAST TIME coming to this restaurant. I'll get straight to it. I ordered garlic shrimp scampi and it was GOD AWFUL! It taste like an old spoiled frozen meat. I practically had a throw up reaction from eating 1shrimp. DO NOT ORDER THIS MEAL. IT IS AWFUL AND IT COULD POSSIBLY MAKE YOU SICK! I wont be surprised, if I end up throwing up later on. Bad first impression for someone traveling 16 hrs to this location. I don't recommend this place. The coffee was okay, nothing special. Go to la crepe, I think thats a better choice.

I ate there with my cousin and friends last Friday. The food was ok (honestly there are better Baby back ribs in Cebu), but one thing I didn't like was the service. Why?

1. I was still eating but the staff were already halfway finished cleaning our table. It's like they're telling me to hurry up (it's not my fault your baby back ribs were hard to chew).

2. My friend was trying to call the staff but it's like they're avoiding eye contact and pretending not to see my friend.

3. We requested the bill 4x because the staff just says they'll get it the bill never arrived. Just when we were about to go irate (4th time) did the bill come.

I would not probably go back here.

Would def rate that the food are pretty average, nothing special considering it is pretty pricey. Coffee is good tho, maybe i’ll go back again just to get coffee.

For me, the food was overpriced as is everything in Tagaytay. But the seats were far away from each other and the wait staff was attentive.

Safety protocols were observed but staff seemed to lack enthusiasm in helping out customers in taking orders.

Always a delight to dine at this place. Located in Twin Lakes Tagaytay. This branch offers a nice
view and the same quality of food and service just like their other branches. One of the best barako brew served here.

Nothing extravagant. Nothing special. What a couple can eat for PhP400 can go as high as PhP1500 here. As they say, it's the location and the feeling it brings that make you pay for that cost. There are better places to visit but whenever you pass by Tagaytay, Bag Of Beans will never be out of your choices.

This place isn’t bad for a chain restaurant. Honestly I was expecting bad food given the lack of variety on the menu. I will say that the food is a little sweet for my liking. You can dial back that sugar and still make good food, trust me.

Their Filipino breakfast plates are generous servings but personally for me lacks flavor. They are probably great for people who are going for more healthy versions of our longanizas, tocino, beef steak. I think adobo was the tastiest.
Service and ambiance is good.

Great place with a great view. Went here on a Monday morning and there were barely any people.

The food is top-notch, I would say. The pumpkin soup and fish & chips in particular were outstanding! Other dishes in the pictures are the breakfast platter and Bangus breakfast, they were good as well.

My only complaint is that the restroom is abysmal. There is literally only one toilet and the door leading to it is NOT A FULL DOOR. There are gaps at the top and the bottom! You will have no privacy! This is kind of outrageous for a restaurant. If you have no need of restrooms, then the food and the view should be worth it enough.

I love the food here especially the seafood pasta with cream sauce. They have options for the seafood pasta, you can have it in tomato sauce, cream sauce or aglio olio. In their menu, they have fish and chips but we requested to replace the chips with rice. The place needs some renovations since their ceilings are leaking (it was raining when we last visited). The view was supposed to be breath-taking but because of the storm, we only saw fog and a little taal volcano from time to time.
