Tanawin sa Gulod Restaurant

We had a late lunch here yesterday. The waiting time for the food was supposed to be 30 to 45 mins but ours took more than an hour. When the food did arrive, it was quite disappointing. The classic bulalo tasted bland, the plate for the sizzling bulalo was cold, you can hold the plate bare handed. The kare-kare barely had any meat in it. The only saving grace for our disheartening lunch was the fried chicken, the beer, and the view. The service crew were friendly and attentive enough, but that 1 hour serve time was unforgivable, granted that the restaurant was not that full at the time. For the price we paid for lunch, I expected something better. Will not come back here. Not recommended.

This used to be a good place to unwind but now it's too crowded and the staffs can't handle the amount of people visiting (took 2 hours before they gave us our food) won't be coming back

It was a great great great disappointment! I was expecting good food, good place and nice people! Unfortunately the only thing good at Tanawin Sa Gulod is the view of Taal.thats it! Food is overated, the place is dirty, malangaw, no tissue sa toilet ang no flush! Paid P420 for 1 pc piniritong liempo but we ordered lechon kawali.then lumpiang sariwa na mas mukang sariwa pa ang lola.and calamares na soggy, di man lng sila bumawi s dipping sauce. Sad experience! Never again! And Beware!

Ambience just good. Make sure to have a good photo editor, to make your photo looking nice.
Sad that they didn't entertain our breakfast meal order, telling us breakfast is until 10am oy, but we arrived at the place around 9am.i don't get it, why.

Good view, good service, having your own kubo is an advantage esp during this pandemic but the food is bland. Toilet is also dirty. 3 stars for the view and the service.

With the picturesque Taal Volcano as overlooking view, what more can you ask for? The food is okay. A little bit pricey than the usual. Good if you are in groups so you can divide the bill and explore more other food on the menu.

Limited parking space. The small nipa huts are nice. And foods are good and cheap. The view was also good over looking Taal Lake

Great location! We were able to sit by the kubo overlooking Taal. Not too many people too so lots of parking space and fast service.

Food is less pricy vs other restos in the area. But taste is ok. Not bad. Not great.

A new place for dine in with a view in tagaytay. Kids are allowed. You have an option for kubo dining or the open area. Good thing about their kubo is it is equipped with plastic covers attached to the window for sudden pours. They offer camping grounds. You will have to coordinate with the staff for that. The camping grounds is front row view of taal lake. Parking is below the entrance.

Very popular now for its breath-taking view of Laurel, Batangas and the fishpens on that side of Taal Lake. Wonderful stop if going to Alfonso, Cavite, Nasugbu or Lemery, Batangas from NCR. Or, the perfect pit stop coming back from these places on the way back to NCR and beyond.

Food is good. Although, there are a lot of items in the menu that I have not tasted.

Best to visit the place on a weekday to avoid long lines and the crowd lining up to be seated during weekends.

Maganda yong place nila.nakaka relax kayang msg accomudate ng family gathering or family reunion or any events.pwede rin mag camping overnight.

Staff was accommodating, the view was majestic. We stopped by here for dinner before heading home and we were not djsappointed. The serving size is good for 2-3 people, as per staff, but can also be good for 3-4 for those with smaller appetite.
