Sambo Kojin reviews
76We had Company lunch here, the place is good and the food is delicious. Literally, eat all you can. Recommended for a group meal.
Sambokojin is an eat-all-you-can buffet restaurant that serves Japanese and Korean cuisine. The buffet offers different prices if you'll do a combo, it includes Filipino cuisine. We opted for Korean-Japanese plus Filipino food. It costs Php1,088 per person.
They provide delectable unlimited authentic Yakiniku (Japanese grill) and Korean barbecue. My daughter loves the fresh ingredients of sushi, and sashimi from the Japanese section. I loved the veggies wrapped in bacon, the miso soup, and the sukiyaki. The dumplings have generous kimchi fillings in the crunchy wrap. It sure is appetizing and fun to eat. The meat is tender and succulent. A variety of sauce and spices are on the table to season the grilled meat/seafood. The fresh fruit shakes are refreshing and luscious.
Reservation is required. Service is excellent. The place is stylish, elegant and has great ambiance. We enjoyed our dining experience.
Eto talaga yung babalik balikan kong unli sa mega, di ka mananawa sa pagkain kasi hindi lang puro samgyup
Good Buffet and of course Samgyup is a popular option.
Personally i love the unlimited Sashimi
We chose the Dads+Sambokojin fusion offer and was told that it'll be P988 per head for 7 people but we were billed P1,088 per head instead even if we have reservation.
They need to work on adding more staffs on the tempura station, less food served with long lines and commotion starting up but their staffs are not giving much attention.
It's fine. Get the freshly prepared items. Don't get the items that have been on display for a while.
HORRIBLE!
waste of money. We paid over a thousand pesos per head
for junky food. Seems like everything was leftovers. Almost every tray was empty. JEEEEEZ guys! This is Scam! Stop it! If your restaurant is getting bankrupt please have mercy to those people who's working hard. The only seafood I saw was "KUHOL or SUSO"?
It's wasn't even from the sea. Wow guys.tsk.tsk.
In our company event, they made our table wait for too long to fire up the grill. Maybe they should have allotted more than 1 waiter to fire up all the 2 dozen tables
Location:
Located at Atrium. Good to find this place away from other restaurants and avoid the crowd.
Food:
Japanese and Filipino foods are available. We liked their pork chops, tempura, the lechon is somehow overrated depending on the part. Samgyup meat isn't that impressive except for with mushrooms, with vegetable rolls. Shanghai is meaty and tasty. Don't settle for the fries when dining in for dinner it is quite dry. Mango shake is definitely impressive it isn't sweet at all.
Waiters:
Waiters are good and hospitable. Just be little more kind at dinner they could be tired too. Show some etiquette when asking for a request.
Chefs:
Chefs are working hard and most of I encountered are positive looking and there's this chef at Lechon station that would make you wait longer before serving the food. Hope he gets notified sooner.
Comfort room:
Aesthetic wise it is all good, maintenance wise isn't that impressive.
Ushers:
At our table of 6, I was the last to arrive and I was assisted well since we had our reservation.
They have limited options but just enough to satisfy everyone's cravings. Spacious place, very accommodating and friendly staff, great food.
I was very disappointed. Grabe for their price, i should just have gone to a high end samgyup place. Kelangan pa nila ng reservation ahead of time, pero parang di naman sila nagprepare ng enough food for the people who are there.
Ang tagal tagal nila magrefill. The place just looks so so sad. Ang depressing tignan ng food stations. Kung 7pm reservation mo (which is their last slot), baka wala ka nang abutan na matinong food by 7: 20. Nakakaasar. Sayang pera! Ugh.
Dont choose buffet Collab masasayang lang.
-1st if you book online they will make you choose the time of reservation, its 11am, 1pm, 5pm, 7pm.we chose 1pm but unfortunately the food was cold, and most buffet plates are empty.we chose buffet collab and we're asking to refill the buffet plates, they said they will refill but we return and return on that section no refill happened
-most of foods are cold.i remember the only hot food was lomi.if you will make us choose the time make sure to refill the plates and cook fresh food.but 1088 was too expensive proceed na lang kayo sa vikings.
Average selection of food but definitely delicious. Restaurant employees are very attentive and genuinely offers help to all of our inquiries. Worth the price for a once in a while meal with friends and family
I was surprised that our party of 9 was seated in one long table without the pandemic-usual seating of one seat apart for social distancing.
We opted for the Korean-Japanese plus Filipino buffet crossover. It cost P1088 per head. I found their selection lesser than pre-pandemic time and not as interesting-looking.
We went for the thinly sliced meats, tuna and salmon sashimi, porchetta, fresh greens. We carefully selected from the cooked selections.
Still had much fun but for the pricier cost, non-social distancing, and lesser selections, giving them an average rating this time.
Worst experience so far. We entered by 8: 30 and was told that last call would be 9: 30. But the plates are already empty and no replenishes were made. There’s no much choices of food either. Very bad experience. Hope they’ll improve.
A relic of the past. Sambo Kojin is one of those old buffets that never really improved yet kept its premium price. For almost 1000 pesos, the quality and choices of food is just sad.
Please don't eat here. Let's force the management to improve OR close down.
Their food is ok.except for the long waiting line.reservation must be done atleast 1week prior so you will have discount.we enjoyed the dads buffet but samgyup have limited choices or maybe theyre not refilling at all by the time we arrived around 1pm.almost all section have empty display.their plates and glasses are not properly washed.glasses display are always finish and u need to ask from time to time whenever u want to refill some drinks
Once this place was the best buffet in metro manila, but now trubble, you pay 1088 per head for this service. All of their plates are empty, nothing to pick, trubble service, cant even find clean plate to use. Never ever go there again its all scam
This place is going downhill. Lousy servers, the uncooked meat section has a small cockroach roaming around, slow refill of food and drinks (i even had to tell them to refill the pink lemonade) 8.30pm was the cutoff but they’re already packing up around 8: 10. Few food selection even with the dads collab.
One of the worst buffet after the pandemic. Not going back ever again.
It was my first time eating there last thursday c/o a friend who was really eager for me to experience their food. It was very disappointing since although the food was great I dont think the service and hygiene is.we found a little cockroach coming out from the grill scurrying towards across the table and unto the chair. The amount of time it took the roach to travel from point a to point b (and for me to take a video) was how fast the staff took action just to resolve the issue which is to take their time to come up to our table and pick up the roach with tissue and just walk away- no apology nor compensation.
