Sambo Kojin reviews
76 Came for a lunch buffet (February 10,2021)
The Negative side:
1. No ice for the Halo-halo
2. There was a cockroach inside the dessert counter display. I showed it to the staff in which she immediately removed.
3. Too much people inside. No social distancing. The arrow markers placed in the floors are not followed. Heath protocols not implemented well.
4. Limited seafoods.
Positives:
1. Servers and staff are attentive to guest’s needs. Empty plates are removed immediately.
2. Fast service
Overall, for me, its not worth your money.
Overcharged - short list of menus, almost half of the menus were not available.they should have reduced their cost.they should inform the guest that their menus will be lessen.we felt shortchanged.do not blame the suppliers, if they cant deliver, then find another one and replace your purchaser.even the sodas and fresh fruit shakes were not available.
The sushi maker is impolite, he doesn't know how to remind the guests of the health protocols in a proper manner, as if that he's talking to a stranger. I gave him a bad stare.
I wonder if the management is giving their employees the right salaries, it seems that they are not happy with their jobs.i guess we will never be back until they return to their original ambience, environment and food varieties because they are charging in their original price.
Quarantine Experience. Worse.
I expected a downgraded experience during this quarantine, but what we got was much worse.
The food was a definite downgrade, the quality is not passable for a top tier buffet. I've been to this Sambo Kojin branch a dozen times in the past 5 years, this is the first time their food was this bad. It was dry and cold (except for the soup)
The adopted table service is very slow. In this new system, customers can choose any food they want for any reasonable amount in a single order. This caused an insane demand upfront and the staff could not keep up. Eventually, food is served cold.
Food options has been cut down to half. Granted, this is not entirely their fault.
Some of the staff were not friendly, the lady that served us at some point was not delicate on setting down the plates.
I was hoping that Sambo Kojin could give us a magical experience on our anniversary (as many times in the past)
As a long time patron of Sambo Kojin. Over a dozen visits in the last 5 years, this would be my last. Goodbye Sambo, thank you for the memories.
They didn't have too variety of dishes at P930 per head. But it's okey. The place is nice and clean.
Weve been there last.nov. 9.it was my birthday treat to my friends.we had a nice.cozy and experienced a cool ambiance and delicious foods.rhanks sambo.
There aren't many foods, and I can't seem to eat.
I think it's too expensive for food.
It would be better to just eat it cheaply elsewhere.
Covid season sit down buffet experience:
Food was amazing! Salmon was fresh, the rolled meats were good!
BUT the service was BAD.
It literally took 25 minutes for us to complain and them to realize we haven’t been served the food AND they even lost our original order, to the point we decided to fill up another order sheet. The manager did try to make things faster and more organized, but it failed.
And the tables near us was also complaining.
They didn’t even seem to look under-staff, it was just a case of missing orders and waiters giving us the dead-ma treatment.
Yes they did make a disclaimer that you should get everything you want with the first order, and that the succeeding orders would be slow.
Pero un nga, it was SO slow! To the point na after the first orders were given (sushis in the photo) I wanted to just pay for that and leave.
They also tried to charge us full price (kasi iba reservation - which we did)
Food was good, busog ka nga - pero bad trip ka.
There was a time when buffet restaurants was heaven. Now it seems, as we grow older our appetite for food is getting less and less. I love the old sambokojin where they used to have sea urchins, but now they don't serve it anymore. But still worth it.
Great selection of food. Could use some post control though as there were cockroaches near where we're seated.
It's been awhile since the last time I ate here. They now have takoyaki, it really tastes good. I didn't eat more, compared to my previous visits.but I was full til the next morning I'm happy with the food here, it's just too pricey I like their fresh fruit shakes too. Eating here could be a good way to spend time with family and friends, a quick catch-up over lunch, dinner, it was so nice
We are always celebrating our get together in this place. Lots of different food to choose from.
I have celebrated my birthday here. I did not regret because they have that lot of menus and as well delicious foods. I got free birthday treat. Highly recommended.
Everything's good - except when we ask something from anyone from the staff, they never get back to us. We weren't helped as much by the people who goes around from the staffs.
This is my favorite korean bbq place. Better than any samgyup. The whole family loves here, too bad the branches are getting lesser now.
Place is clean, crew is responsive, lots of assorted choices, reasonable price, accessible place. What more can you ask for, really?
Food is great but I wonder why they keep the tempura shrimp and sashimi salmon. People have to ask for it before they serve them at the counter.
The servers were great and attentive to the needs of the customer. They would gladly assist you in anyway they can. Used plates and saucers were cleaned up discreetly while we ate.
The food selection feels lacking, the spread of of the menu makes it look plentiful. They could still add some more choices in the future. There were inconsistencies with the serving, i find that the ebi tempura to salty in some servings and just right on some.
The table grill would need maintenance or improvement since it does not fire up easily and inconsistent heat output gave us a hard time cooking. The big issue for me was the shaking of the floor making it look like there was an earthquake, we actually stopped eating when we first felt it. The ceiling design was bouncing up and down as well as the floor. The manager and servers said it was normal in the area due to the building design. Nevertheless, it was uncomfortable to eat when it happens, i got dizzy and at a time lost the appetite to eat.
The place was ok. But the utensils were not that clean. Fresh veggies from the the Korean section was not properly wash.they don't refill much. I remember I was waiting for the newly fried tempura & the chef starred to me badly as If he wanted to tell not to take the tempura
Great food, lots to choose from. Loved their sushi and sashimi selection. Refilling of platters was fast and the staff were attentive and fast with clean up. I just wish they were as attentive with the toilets. Over all, the dining experience was great!
Other Buffet got more choices but if you're up to a no fuss buffet. Then, this is good enough. Nothing extraordinary as there are other upscale buffet in the area.
