Fast processing of authentication/apostille documents. Just had a little misunderstanding in processing documents of my partner (not the same last name) ; apparently, I initially thought that it was allowed to walk-in-process the documents of persons who aren’t biologically related through a signed authorization letter, however I was instructed at the reception that you can only be authorized to walk-in process the documents of those who share the same last name with you. Else, you have to obtain an online appointment through the DFA website (which is very difficult to get a slot).

Other than this, all our transactions went smoothly. I went to DFA Manila by 6: 30am, parked at the nearby Petron gas station (50php). I waited for about 15 mins before it was my turn to park, as the attendant was prioritizing those (I think) with reserved parking slots. I highly recommend to go to other parking areas (if going by car), or go to DFA Manila through other means as the parking area in Petron can only be available when you come really early.

There was already a queue in front of the DFA gate by 6: 30am, although they opened the gates by 7am sharp. The queue will be filtered into 2 receptions namely, authentication/apostille & passport services. You will be receiving the blue form for authentication/apostille services, then be allowed to enter the DFA Manila building. 2 counters were allotted for the initial checking of documents. You will be given a queuing number once your documents are counter-checked. Then you will proceed to the Authentication/Apostille processing. By Dec 14,2023,3-4 counters were allotted for authentication so the processing was really fast. My partner arrived by 7: 45am, then we finished by 8: 30am. We opted for expedited processing, wherein the documents will be released in Double Dragon Plaza after 2 working days.

It is important that you have your valid government ID and a photocopy of it. If you will be submitting for the authentication of TOR & Diploma, it is required that these documents are sealed in an envelope with the CAV & Certified True Copy forms.

Yong kuya ko, magrerenew lang ng passport hinanapan pa ng PSA birth certificate. Hindi naman talaga kailangan lalo at wala namang nakalagay sa list of requirements. Hindi tinanggap ang dala nyang PSA birth certificate na may tatak ng munisipyo namin sa Caloocan City. Renewal na lang naman pinapahirapan pa rin ang tao. May sakit pa naman sa puso kuya ko.

Sir Henry was very accommodating and helpful. I tried my hardest to organize and complete all the papers needed for the ROB of my children but somehow I messed up. He was patient and respectful all throughout the process. The guards were also very helpful.

Apostille Authentication (via walk-in) Sept. 18,2023

- 5: 30am dumating ako sa DFA Aseana (walk-in application), medyo madami na nakapila sa labas, pero halo pa yung pila from passport and apostille processing, pati online appointment magkakasama pa sa pila dito.

-6: 30am nagpapasok na ang mga staff sa loob, dito nagseparate na ang pila ng passport applicants at apostille applicants. Yung mga apostille, bibigyan na ng forms sa loob para i-fill up.

-7: 30am nagstart na magprocess ng transaction ang mga staff sa loob. Pang 10 ako sa magpapaapostille. Mabilis lang ang processing. 8am tapos na ako pati sa cashier.

FAQs/tips:

1. May photocopy machine sa loob, need mo ipaphotocopy yung valid id mo bago mo ipasa ang mga docs mo.

2. If may dala kang sasakyan, may pay parking sa Petron, katabi lang sya ng DFA Aseana. 6am nagbubukas yun, so kung medyo maaga ka, magpark kana lang muna sa gilid, then saka ka pumunta sa petron pag 6am na.

3.expedite release is 200Php per docs, that is 2 working days. Regular release is 5 working days that is 100Php per docs. Expedite release ang pinili ko, then ang release nun is Sept. 20,2023 sa Double Dragon Building, sa ibang building ito pero malapit lang sa DFA. Dadalhin mo lang yung receipt from DFA tska valid id mo.

Overall experience maganda naman, napakaaccomodating ng mga staff at pinaka importante yung organized and mabilis ang processing. Kudos DFA Aseana!

New Passport Appointment - Very fast processing. Got an appointment agad on the following week of booking. Staffs were accomodating. My apointment was at 8 am but arrived there at 7 30 am and they already allowed me to go inside and process my papers. It only took 15-20 mins to process my new passport. They advised my to get my passport on the following week because I availed the rush processing. Overall a good experience

Passport renewal and wrong spelling correction. I bought only my annotated BC copy.my schedule was 12: 00 to 1: 00 pm dumating ako 11: 00 am pinapasok naman ako agad. Natapos ako 1: 30 pm, nagtagal lang konti sa photo capturing. But over all experience mabilis, not to much congested. My improvement, hopefully ung tentative release date ay magawa nila.

Smooth transaction, didn't encounter rude staff. Not very strict to make up as much as light only, they give you option to take again your photo.

Worst branch, walang nag a-assist, ang gulo ng pila sa data capturing sa pinaka loob sa 2nd floor

Annoying. We came here 04: 30 pm and they didn't allow us to go even inside! Why they are writing opening hours till 5pm! They are bu.it.

Pwede po kaya mag ask? Kung pwede walk in para sa Apostille po? Hindi po kasi ako maka online appointment sira po yata yung page nila.

Dear DFA,

Sa totoo lang ang hirap mag book ng appointment. Hindi po namin kaya na from time to time ay inoopen namin ang inyong website para tignan kung may available na slot. Kami sobrang nahihirapan sa ganitong systema at kami may mga trabaho na kailangan bigyan attention. Isipin nyo din po mga iba kababayan na walang internet. Kanina lang sinubukan ng asawa ko mag book ang appointment pero di pinalad kc habang inoopen nya website nyo biglang bumagal ang connection marahil madami din ang sumusubok mag pa book. At yun nga, fully booked na at mag aabang nman kami.

Kung maari po sana ay mabigyan nyo ng solusyon ito. At makarating sa inyong pinuno ang problema na aming kinakaharap.

DFA - OCA ATTESTATION
1. Book a schedule on DFA online
2. Print the Booking Confirmation
3. Prepare original and copy of valid ID. If Representative prepare a copy of your ID too.

DATE OF THE SCHEDULE
1. As long as you have a schedule for that day kahit anong oras maari ka nang maka pasok at mag start ng processing. Bring the Booking Confirmation.
2. Before entering temperature check, health declaration at items on metal detector check
3. Kuha ka nang Form from desk for Attestation
4. Line up sa Counter 14 (isang line lang to for attestation)
5. After confirmation at Counter 14 proceed sa Processing Unit (parehas na lugar lang naman Counter 1 to 9 halo halo na kayo ng lahat)

You're not allowed to walk in. The reason of the guards on duty is still the pandemic when the Philippines is already open for tourism.
The guards will only give you a piece of paper with email and phone number to contact for urgent concerns. I sent an email 2 days ago and until now no response. They also don't answer phone calls. There is no available schedule for appointments online either. The only people who are trying to help are the fixers. The DFA Philippines doesn't care about this impending concern for a very long time.

Sana po baguhin nio ang terms and conditions nio ndi nman napakinabangan ang schedule dahil kinancel wala man lng na refund kahit magkano msyado kayo masiba. God bless po sa inyong lahat

Sa pila lang yung matagal, sa processing mabilis. Dapat maaga pumunta at kumpleto requirements (e.g. Photocopies of documents) para abot ka na lang ng abot sa magpaprocess. Approachable lahat ng staff and nasusunod health protocols. Thank you DFA Manila ASEANA Branch.

Why it is so difficult to get an appointment for Apostille/Authentication. I've been checking and refresh the website every hour but still no changes. Can you please fix this issue DFA!
